Card Cafe Thursday with Jen Gallacher!

Welcome to Card Cafe Thursday!  Looking to add layers of texture to your next card? Look for collections with extra embellishments such as the tulle roses, and chipboard frames from the "Bella Rouge" Collection by Pink Paislee! This feminine collection is perfect for friendship-themed cards. To create a card foundation, start with the 6×6 paper pad which has all your favorite papers from the 12×12 collection kit scaled down. This scale is absolutely perfect for making cards. Watch the video's step-by-step instructions for creating layers on your cards and a few little tricks too!

Here's a look at each individual card in this set. Note that both cards feature black cardstock. Black makes other colors pop, and with a collection this bright and happy, you'll love the way the collection looks on a darker cardstock color.

I like using black also as you said – it makes the colors pop. But some people just don’t like black cards – say it is depressing. But me being me – don’t see it that way and love to use it and make the colors stand out.

I love the paper collection and all the co-ordinating elements. I do feel there was a bit too much layering and feel that a lot of the wonderful pieces were hidden with others on top of them. It sort of felt like all the pieces had to be used on one card. Sometimes less is more. Sorry, just a personal opinion not meant to offend.
