Hello and welcome to Stampin’ Up! Inspiration Saturday! This Sunday, May 10th is Mother’s Day in North America and we invited our friends at Stampin’ Up! to help us celebrate all Moms with some amazing projects! We have demonstrators Martha Inchley and Linda Yamamoto here to share some creative ideas with the Sweet Laughter stamp set. So whether you’re called Mom, Mum, Mama, or Mother, this post is for you!

Sweet Laughter Stamp Set is available in Clear Mount and Wood Mount.

Let’s welcome Martha Inchley to the SCT blog and see what she’s created!

11 - Dictionary card - Martha Inchley

“One thing I hear a lot of from my customers is that they avoid out-lined stamps because they don't like their colouring. I love showing them that they don't always need to colour in out-lined stamps to have a coloured image. All they need is different coloured cardstock, scissors and adhesive! A few stamped images and a little bit of fussy cutting later and you have a colourful image.”

10 - Bag - Martha Inchley

“One thing I say at my classes is not to let a stamp set dictate your creativity. If there is something more you want from it then find a creative solution to do it! The person I want to give this to is beyond perfect… they are beyond measure… they overflow with kindness!”

8 - Box - Martha Inchley

“Although not a lot of people like to fussy cut, I still love to show that you can take a seeming simply image and add a little dimension to it, to make it pop!”

12 - They say gift card - Martha Inchley

“You can take a seemingly straightforward stamp set and transform it into something so much more with a little creative masking and a Stamp-a-ma-jig! I was able to make my flower grow as the card is pulled up to reveal the gift card. “

9 - Treat - Martha Inchley

“Sometimes it's easy to forget about all the specialty cardstock out there. I love showing people how simple little changes in cardstock can add such great details to a project. Instead of Whisper White cardstock, I chose the Naturals White cardstock and I layered the Window Sheet with White Vellum cardstock for a 3D look to the measuring cup.”

Thank you so much Martha for sharing your awesome projects with us!  Now let’s see what Linda Yamamoto has created to celebrate Moms!

1 - Scrapbook page - Linda Yamamoto

“I love the sentiments in this set, so made them a key element on this page featuring my mother and myself. I created a bokeh effect by watercolouring with ink refills onto Shimmery White cardstock and then sponging circles in Whisper White craft ink. This would be a fantastic page to frame and give as a gift.”

3 - Mother card - Linda Yamamoto

“In my classes I like to highlight ways to stretch your sets. Here, the focus is on the text from one of the stamps in this set. When combined with the Little Letters Thinlits, the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper and some gold ribbon, you get a more elegant feel from this set than you might initially imagine.”

5 - Happy Mother's Day card - Linda Yamamoto

“I had fun with this one – the tab pulls out to reveal the definition! It’s always neat to add an interactive component to a card that seems fairly simple and straightforward otherwise.”

2 - No one measures up card - Linda Yamamoto

“So easy to have a child help make this one! After stamping the image onto the cardstock, I stamped another onto a sticky note, and cut out the centre of the image. I placed this sticky note mask over the original image, and then “filled” the measuring cup with fingerprints! The background on the card is also done with fingerprints. This is definitely a one of a kind card!”

7- They Say - Linda Yamamoto

“Another fun interactive card – pull up the slider to reveal the coloured image. The magic colour card is always a hit!”

4 - Heart, no one measures - Linda Yamamoto

“During classes when we make shaker cards, you can be sure this is the one that people can’t put down! I love that it seems quite complex but is actually fairly easy to create. This measuring cup is filled with hearts from the Confetti Heart Border punch, and accented with an Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Sticker that perfectly fits the Happy Heart Embossing Folder.”

A big thank you to Martha and Linda for helping us celebrate Moms today! We are so thankful you’ve shared your great ideas with us!  As a lovely treat today, our friends at Stampin' Up! would love to share the Sweet Laughter Stamp set with you too!
