Stampin’ Up! Inspiration Saturday…and a giveaway!

Good morning SCT readers!!!  Welcome to Stampin’ Up! Saturday! We are being extra spoiled today with a sneak peek inside the not yet released Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalogue! We have demonstrators Cathy Caines and Julie Oliver here with some fabulous projects using the Celebrate Today Bundle which includes a stamp set and co-ordinating framelits! 

Let’s check out Cathy’s projects first:

“Hi all – its Cathy Caines from St. John's, Newfoundland. It's so great to be back with SCT to show you some projects using the Stampin' Up! "Celebrate Today" bundle.  Immediately I thought about a hot air balloon. The Stampin' Up! cupcake builder punch was a great compliment to the Celebrate Today die cuts to create clouds.  To ground the card, I stamped the word "celebrate", stamping again without re-inking, and a final third time.  Inside, the card states "The Adventure Begins" – a great statement for any new graduate.”

“My next project is a fun balloon shaker card.  The iridescent ice glimmer paper gave the card extra sparkle. Any little boy or girl would love to play with this card.”

“My third project is more masculine and really showcases the Birthday Bash Speciality DSP. I adore the crisp Night of Navy color against the Whisper White. The card was created on water color paper.  To create the look, I stamped the balloon into ink and then misted directly on the stamp.  Next I flicked drops of water on the card and dried the card with the Heat Tool.”

“Finally, this gift box was created using the Stampin' Up! large kraft gift boxes.  I stamped the polka dots on the top lid by masking around the box.  I then ran the lid through my Big Shot using the Balloon Framelits. Note that the whole box won't go through the Big Shot but you can run it through just enough to get the balloon. Then you have to go in reverse to back it out of the machine.  I added some of the new Sahara Sand Lace Trim – you’ll love this stuff!”

“The "Celebrate Today" stamp set and framelits is a great birthday kit to have! You can create a nice gift bag in just minutes! I decorated a Chevron gift bag with some balloons, a tag and a little Gold baker's twine bow! Your little gift will become extra special in no time!”

“Cards in a box are sure to please anyone! They really have a "Wow" factor! I used the balloon and banner image with matching framelits dies to create this birthday "Card in a box". Combine with the Birthday Surprise stamp set and some Gold Glimmer stars, it creates a beautiful 3D card, sure to make anyone happy.”

“Celebrate Today's images are really versatile, making it a very valuable set! The hot air balloon image lets you use the balloon image for something else than an actual "balloon"… To create a 3D effect, simply cut 3 or 4 balloons and fold them in the center. Then, adhere each half on each other.  To create this card, I used 4 of the 5, 2014-2016 In-Colors as my color scheme (Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist).”

“With this stamp set it’s also also easy to make baby, graduation and wedding cards! I made this cute baby card, using the balloon image, changing it into a baby rattle. The little bow and matching framelits die are also really cute!”
