Happy World Card Making Day from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!
As you celebrate the joy of card making today, October 1st also kicks off Breast Cancer Awareness month. This is near and dear to my heart because I beat the nasty little disease almost one year ago. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and that affects everyone who loves her. To honor everyone who has been, or will be, affected by breast cancer, I created my special Calling All Sistahs collection and donate 50% of its profits to Nationalbreastcancer.org to support awareness and research programs all year long.
I love shaped cards, and this one from designer Kelly Griglione using Hope Ribbon and Ruffled Ribbon Fri-Die is truly special.
To make a shaped card using a die, you simply need to score and fold your cardstock, then lay the die over it with the folded edge just slightly under the top cutting line so that it will stay intact to create a card. Easy peasy!
Today we would love to offer one SCT reader today the Hope Ribbon stamp and coordinating die!
As you create today, please consider making an encouragement card for someone who could use a little cheering. May your ink pads stay juicy, your glitter stick only where its supposed to, and your mojo runneth over with delightful ideas!" {Hugs} Michele
Thank you so much Michele for this thoughtful prize. For an opportunity to win, be sure to leave a comment below by October 8th! One winner will be selected randomly and announced on October 10th. Good luck!
Please join Cas-ual Fridays Stamps on their Facebook page when you have a moment to offer a "thank you" for this hour's prize! Michele will love hearing from you!
Next at 8:00 pm – we want to Thank You for a fabulous day!
My mom and a dear friend has had breast cancer….I would love to make a card for them with this! Thank you!!!
My Mom had breast cancer. She’s still kicking! Here’s to self-exams.
Thoughtful and beautiful stamp set.
Very heart warming stamp set, too many friends have suffered with this.
Cancer touches too many lives. I pray for a cure. I pray everyone fighting wins the battle.
A very thoughtful stamp set. Love the sentiments.
I survived cancer not once but TWICE!! The second time was 19 years ago! MAMMOGRAMS are key! Do not hesitate – get them done!!! Be vigilent! Cancer is scary and your world stops but you will fight and win!
If anyone has any questions or is going through this and walks to talk – I am always available!

This one runs deep in my family.Thank you from my heart and soul
Glad you won that battle!!! XoXo
This runs in our family too so it’s very near and dear to my heart. Thank you Casual Friday for creating this set and for the give away!
Sadly, there are too many reasons in my life to have use of these products. They’re beautiful though!
Thank you. It’s uplifting to hear from survivors.
What a lovely stamp and die set. I’m sure any woman (or man) with breast cancer would appreciate a card with these sentiments.
What a wonderful stamp this is! Love those ribbon shaped cards, lovely.
I love this. Our family has had multiple members affected by breast cancer so I love that this set makes a donation to research and care. Thank you.
My husband died from lung cancer. I’ve been fortunate
to have avoided cancer. It’s a shame that we need
the pink ribbons – would rather not need to remind
people about cancer at all since it is no longer
a problem – but that’s not possible.
thanks for sharing. Keep up the good fight.
Happy WCMD
My mother died of breast cancer in 1971–before they had all the wonderful treatments they have now. I still miss her.
So many uses for this symbol die cut. Be strong my sisters!

These are beautiful cards. I like that idea of making shaped cards with a die over a folded card.
What a wonderful stamp and die! Thank you!
I would love to win this prize. I recently began volunteering with my local Cancer Support Community and could use them to make cards for people who use their services. Thanks for the chance to win!
I live in a very small town and sadly many women in town have had breast cancer in the last several years! Some have beat it but too many didn’t! I am a 3 time cancer survivor and so ANY type of cancer is a thing to beat! My hope is that in my lifetime this disease is beaten for ever! Would love the Breast Cancer Awareness die and stamp set to use to cheer on those who are battling it!! Thanks for the chance to!! I am so glad that you are a survivor too! <3
A great stamp set. The support is wonderful
Nice cards!! A great way to express one’s feeling towards cancer.
What a nice way to support
I’m so glad you beat the cancer. My mom is also a survivor and a real hero to me. I make cards for her every year for Christmas so she never has to buy store cards again. Your die and stamps are inspiring!
This is a wonderful set. Sadly, I have had many friends that have had breast cancer.
Cancer awareness is such a good cause. Thanks for bringing it to us and making so many people involved. Cheers!!
One of my favorite cards of all time. Kelly did a fabulous job on these ribbons of hope!
Yes, unfortunately cancer affects too many people. Great prize.
Merci beaucoup pour cette façon d’exprimer ses sentiment envers le cancer
I am a 3 time breast cancer and ovarian Cancer survivor this would be soooooo awesome to own to make and give gifts to my cancer sisters. You don’t know what something like a card or a call or a note to a cancer patient means. I remember being soooo lonely because no one knew what to say so they didn’t say anything and just stayed away and basically still do becasue I am disabled. I would feel soooo blessed to be able to pass the joy of cards , tags and gifts this could make to others. Thank you for the chance.
A great way to encourage others
Awesome breast cancer set! My mom passed away from breast cancer…so i think this is an great set to have to show support!
Great way to start this month. Making conscious about breast cancer. Great die. Love it.
Oh Michelle I’m so glad you have beaten this terrible disease. I’m also glad that there are products that we can use to encourage and send our thoughts and prayers to people who are still in the cancer journey. Thanks for the giveaway.
Fabulous cards. I am a 10 1/2 year survivor and tomorrow October 2nd I will be walking the Run For the Cure to celebrate and honour others. Missing everyone Crop & Create Cornwall.
I had breast cancer, too – early diagnosis via a mammogram is what saved me! This is a very thoughtful die and stamp set; I would have appreciated getting cards like this when I was going through treatment.
Very special and perfect for October.
My mother in law unfortunately lost her battle with this horrific disease and having worked in a large HR office for 30 years in a large school district I have seen it take the lives of several. What a great die set to help make people aware of this great cause b
Lovely cards and sentiments. Sad that we have to have a cards for cancer. My mother died of breast cancer at age 54, over 40 years ago and I miss her every day.
Cancer has unfortunately touched too many people in my friends and family and it is important to support them and show them you care even when times are tough. This cards would be excellent in raising money to fight cancer.
I just had breast cancer surgery yesterday and would love to win this set so I can make cards for Michele’s monthly Calling All Sistahs blog hop which reminded me to get my mammogram scheduled that found my tiny stage one cancer. Now I want to give back.

Unfortunately, I think we all know someone who’s been affected by cancer. I can happily say my dear sister-in-law beat breast cancer a couple of years ago and we all support th cancer awareness drives now – because boobs rock! 😉 wonderful prize for someone to receive and support Breast Cancer Awareness in October!

Love this. My sister just had breast cancer and is now in the hospital for heart problems. Love to make this project for her 🙂
I don’t think there is a person alive who isn’t somehow touched by cancer. My cousin had breast cancer, another cousin thyroid cancer, my father prostate cancer, my uncle esophogeal cancer, my aunt a rare blood cancer, and my grandmother’s cancer was so widespread it was inoperable. Thank you for bringing more attention to this important cause. Hugs and blessings, Kristina
I am a 9 year breast cancer survivor. I am so glad there is such a great awareness now. We must keep trying to find a cure. Thanks for bringing this to everyone’s attention.
I felt the need for such stamps in my collection since my SIL was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
Lovely design and idea. Thanks for sharing!
I have made these in the color that represents the cancer the recipient has. Thanks for remembering to encourage others in their fight.
wow—what an awesome set!! Thank you!
My father died of cancer related to exposure to asbestos over 40 years ago, my sister in Law has been fighting breast cancer for the last 13 years, the doctors don’t know how she has survived so long, but now its finally taken its toll and spread to her spine, she never talks about it – I suppose its her way of coping, so this prize would be fantastic to send her a card – wish all of us affected by cancer could win this prize and share some love.
What a meaningful and thoughtful stamp set…i think many of us can think of someone in our lives who have fought/are still fighting a courageous battle.
Thank you for an opportunity to win!
My mother was diagnosed this spring. This October a dear cousin celebrates 10 year post breast cancer. I’ve lost a few friends to this disease as well. Would use this prize pack. Thanks for the chance to win

I have too many friends right now fighting cancer. I have been donating a LOT of handmade cards for fundraising events and this would be a great addition to make them that much more personable. No One Fights ALONE!!!!

Always a great cause! It affects so many.
My mother had breast cancer, too and had to have a mastectomy on one breast. When she passed, she was cancer free. Thank you for offering such a nice stamp set prize.
I lost my very dear sister to breast cancer almost 5 years ago and I miss her every day 🙁 I am so happy to hear survivor stories – you go, Michele! Thanks so much for creating this collection and contributing to this worthy cause. I pray one day that this horrible disease is eradicated.
