We are so excited to welcome Taylor Van Bruggen with Taylored Expressions in this hour of our World Card Making Day celebration! You may have just seen their New & Noteworthy holiday collection here on the blog yesterday, but today Taylor is with us to share her tried-and-true favourite technique—one that is perfect for using up those scraps of paper in your creative space! Let’s check it out!

Happy World Card Making Day!

I’m Taylor, owner and Creative Director of Taylored Expressions. Since I was a little kid hanging out in my mom’s craft room, card making has always been my favorite way of sharing joy in the world. As I think about all the cards I’ve made over the years, one of my favorite techniques that I come back to over and over again is creating backgrounds with strips of cardstock. This technique is an easy way to use up scraps and comes in handy whenever you need a quick card!

To make this technique even easier I look no further than our Easy Strips collection of dies and Easy Strips Maps. They are so fun and truly easy to use! See them in action in this new video where I use this technique to make a variety of colorful backgrounds. I’ll also share a tip on how to make your backgrounds truly sparkle! Check it out!

The featured items used in my video can be found in the supply list below. You can also find all the products in our special WCMD collection!
