Happy heart week SCT readers! Today I’m going to show you a few Valentine’s themed pieces that I created.
Everything here is super easy to make, takes just a little bit of time and a few supplies. The wreath was made from only three sheets of paper! You can use double sided but I chose to keep it single sided knowing that it would eventually end up hanging on my gray wall. I cut 1”X12” strips and used my stapler to make the entire thing.
Next I made little popcorn boxes…
I cut the boxes using my Silhouette machine, fastened them together and added a Sizzix die-cut heart to the corners. Two punched holes allowed me to place the red paper straw through the corner (and through the heart). The arrow tips and tails were cut free hand and added to little slits cut into the straw. I chose to fill the boxes with popcorn but they’d be great with just about any goodie (and perfect for group treats or even parties).
Happy crafting heart themed décor and projects this week!

The heart wreath and the treat boxes are so creative and pretty–I wish I could leave work to go make them right now! And the Taylored Expressions crafting goodies are adorable; they are a great company that I enjoy ordering from when I can. Happy birthday to y’all! A favorite birthday memory is last year on my 50th my hubby got 50 little gifts for me to open. :)
My most memorable birthday was when I turned 40, my then young daughters organized a family birthday party for me. It was the best!
I once got to have my birthday sleepover a month after my birthday. We had 40 straight snow days that year!
One year they had a surprise party for my twin sister and I. As we walked in and everyone yelled Surprise, I yelled shutup!
I do believe my best birthday is yet to come this April when my husband planned us a kid-free trip to Harry Potter World at Universal! It’s the first time I will have something so exciting to do on my birthday, and I can’t wait!
In 5th grade I got to invite my entire class to go horseback riding for my birthday. It was so fun.
My favorite birthday memory is when I was in grade school/middle school, and I had sleepovers. Myself and my friends would hang out in the basement listening to music, goofing off, and playing ping pong. Because my birthday is in January, we would sometimes go outside and play in the snow. My mom would make homemade pizza and cake. So much fun!!
That heart wreath is ADORABLE!!
My fav birthday celebration was when I was surprised at a breakfast with my teaching staff! It was a bid one: 50!
I love TE products! Great wreath too. My best birthday memory was sitting in my car after my divorce was granted (I turned 35 that day!) At the time it was the WORST, but two years later I realized it was the BEST thing that could happen to me!
LOVE the heart wreath!! My favorite birthday memory is when I turned 10 and received an Easy bake oven! I had wanted one for a long time and when I opened the box I cried because I was so happy! I remember baking lots of cakes and cookies for my parents and brother! I was so proud of those sweets that I made and plan to gift my granddaughter with an Easy bake Oven when she is a little older! Can’t wait to taste her treats!
LOVE the adorable Easter dies and papers and the fringe die ROCKS!!! Thanks for the celebration!
Love the heart and those fabulous boxes! Such a great idea yet so easy to replicate! I don’t really have a favorite birthday memory… I just like to enjoy some time with my friends and family.
Love a great giveaway!!!
When I turned 40, my husband and mom surprised me big time. My mom came for a visit to take care of our girls and my husband took me to a lovely little bed and breakfast in the country for the weekend. It was a wonderful, relaxing weekend that I’ll never forget!
For my 40th birthday, my husband reserved a room at a local restaurant and secretly invited our friends to celebrate with us. I was surprised since it was 3 days after my birthday. I felt very loved and appreciated. Great memory.
Thank you Taylored Expressions for the fabulous giveaway…love your products! My favorite birthday memory was my 40th just last month. Feeling love from my family is the best feeling in the world!
Having a surprise birthday on our senior class trip to Florida.
My 16th birthday was my most memorable. Spent the day swimming, had a yummy birthday cake and my very first car…a baby blue 1969 Pontiac Firebird convertible, I only had my permit, but my Uncle let me drive it all over with him as my licensed driver.
I loved that car, but the memories of driving around with my Uncle were just as important.
This is such a cute prize package. I just love their products. My favorite birthday memory was my 50th when my family held a surprise party for me with family and friends. I had no clue until we walked into the door of the bowling alley and I saw all those familiar faces. A fun night was had by all.
My most memorable birthday was the 1st birthday I had after I had become a 1st time grandma. I opened up my email that birthday morning & there was a picture of my 4 month old grandson propped up on the couch holding a sign that said Happy Birthday Grandma.
what a most generous giveaway from Taylored Expressions! and I know just the friend I would share with if I were chosen as winner, too!!!
my best birthday memory was my hubby proposing! :)
My late mother threw me a wicked 7th year birthday party for me and my friends which I will never forget. Even though I was so young; I appreciated what she did and felt very loved!
My all time favorite birthday memory was a Surprise Party for my 50th Birthday! My dad, stepmom and stepbrother set it all up and it was wonderful with all my friends and relatives!
Happy Birthday!! ?????My first fave birthday memory would be when my twin sons who were toddlers presented me with their first artwork, all done by themselves! It was so touching!
Loved my surprise 13th birthday party and sleepover. It was sooo fun!
Last year my husband and friends surprised me with a 40th birthday party at a friends house. I had no idea and it was amazing! Thank you Taylored Expressions and Scrapbooking and Cards Today for the chance to win the adorable Easter collection for my bff and myself.
My 16th birthday was great! My friends planned a surprise party for me & we had an awesome time! Seems like only yesterday…… LOL
And then there was my 50th birthday. My dear friend, Fay Jeffcoate, put together a surprise party that will never be forgotten! I’d love to share this prize with her!
Eating Birthday cake for breakfast on my 16th Birthday. Yum.
I have two favorite birthday memories – both surprise parties! One was when I turned “sweet 16” and the other when I turned 65. You’ve given me an idea – to do a layout of favorite birthday memories!
My happiest memory was in 1967, I was married 11 days after that so all my family was around me..
My favorite BD memory is from a few years ago when the night before my BD (which happens to be in 2 days!) hubby asked me to make a BD card for a co-worker. He picked out a particular rose stamp & the colors & the greeting. Next morning he handed me my BD card & you guessed it–it was the card I’d made the night before! I absolutely cracked up & had a great day at work! Being a lover of bunnies (I actually have a collection of music boxes, garden statues, etc) it would be a dream to win this prize & I have just the blogging friend to share with!
I don’t really have a favourite birthday memory … I’m a big fan of birthdays so I love each and every one! Best thing about them … the chocolate birthday cake my Mum makes every year ;)
Great giveaway, I’d share mine with my sister in law (who also shares my birthday, so gets a bit of the cake too LOL)
This stamp set is adorable, thanks for the opportunity to win. My favorite birthday memory is when I was 3 years old, I had a pink cake with a carousel on it, with three horses. I thought it was AMAZING that there were three horses AND I was three years old. What an incredible coincidence!
I turned 16 in 1956. At that time it was the fashion to have a
“sweet 16” birthday party. My parents took me and several of my girl friends out to a fancy restaurant for supper, I had a wrist corsage, and it was a big production. Loved all of the attention and being 16 and able to go get a job.
thanks. If I win I’ll share with my daughter Kathy.
So beautiful, can’t believe how far crafting has come. Best birthday was my 60th when my kids did a surprise party for me and all my family including my sisters from Wyoming and Washington were there.
My favorite birthday was when I was selected as the birthday kid on my favorite tv show and they phoned me. My friends watched the tv in the living room while I was on the phone with them in the kitchen. Thanks for a chance to win a great prize! My friend Jackie would love it.
I would have to say a family BBQ for my 5 th bday in July or my surprise cake and party for my 40 th on a family vacation to the cottage.
My 5th birthday! I finally had a birthday party and was able to invite 3 friends! My Mom made me a pink party cake from scratch…the best ever!
I think my favourite birthday memory is when my children gave me a dinner. I didn’t even have to make my own cake :) Thanks for the awesome giveaway. Popping over to Taylored Expressions right now.
When I was 5 I received a doll cradle and the picture my mom has of this moment is one I will never forget.
My favorite birthday? Sweet 16! I had a blow out party, surrounded by friends and family. I will always remember that special day. Congrats on 10 years SCT!
I think my best birthday is yet to come..
i have always wanted a surprise birthday party..so hopefully I will get one , one day!! My other bdays were nice too tho. thanks for the prizes TE, and thanks to you for a great magazine!!
Thanks Taylored Expressions & Scrapbooking and Cards Today; happy celebrations for ten years on the tenth. The Easter collection is so adorable. My 13th birthday occurred on Friday the 13th! My daughter started me off in this fabulous hobby; therefore, if I win, she is my BBF.
My favorite birthday was when I went to buy scrapbooking stuff and I spent all the rest of my birthday having fun with it.
Thank you for the wonderful giveaway! Love the bunny stamp.
My husband arranged for my daughter, sister-in-law and close friend to go away with me for a cropping weekend in Williamsburg for my 60th birthday!
A favorite birthday memory would be when my son turned 25. I was so excited that for some silly reason I blew out his birthday candles. It was like he was just a little guy all over again and needed help to blow them all out. Maybe that was what was going through my head. lol I don’t know, but the family has never ceased teasing me about it. And I have never ceased being embarrassed about it. I love Taylored Expressions. Their products are amazing. Thanks SCT for the opportunity :)
My favorite birthday memory is from 1976. My birthday is Feb. 20th and my son (my only child) was born on Feb. 6th! I couldn’t have asked for a better gift!!! My sister’s birthday is Mar. 15th. Would love to win and share this awesome prize with her!
Lovely projects. Thanks for the inspiration and the chance to win these great prizes.
Oh so many to choose from. Where do I start. I think my favorite birthday memory was just two years ago when my two very special friends took me out for Mexican food, the staff sang to me in Spanish, and I went in for surgery the next day.
My happiest birthday was giving birth to my son 2 days before my birthday…he was 3 weeks early so I think he just wanted to give me a big birthday surprise. Which he did!
Thanks for a chance to win this adorable TE collection for my crafty friend & I! Many happy birthdays in my past but I remember on my 6th, my mom made a big “cake” out of a round hat box and it had ribbons coming out of it connected to lots of little prizes. On the count of 3 all the kiddies pulled on their own ribbon and got a little gift. Lots of fun!
