It’s cut file FREEBIE day! This month’s freebie is pretty versatile and really could be used on various projects. I love a simple repetitive background, and hope you do too!  Here is what this month’s free file looks like:

December 2015 freebiedownload here

This month I created two projects using some items from this festive freebie! I started out by making this fun holiday layout

Merry MemoriesSupplies:Patterned Paper, Flair, Tags, Die cuts, Buttons, Puffy Stickers – Fancy Pants Designs; Wood Veneers – Studio Calico; Bling – Doodlebug, Reflections; Enamel Dots – My Mind’s Eye; Stamps – American Crafts; Mist – Tattered Angels

I decided to use the tree and the “Merry Memories” for my title on the layout. Instead of using the actual tree design, I used the negative space adding in some diecut swirls as tree garland to embellish with the enamel dots.

Next, I wanted to create a couple quick cards using this cut file in an attempt to get an early start to my holiday card stash.

ALL CARDS

I used some American Crafts glitter POW! Paper to cut the snowflake to embellish this card:

For this fun card, I cut the reindeer from woodgrain paper and added a fun touch of bling for Rudolph’s nose!

Last, I cut the tree from some simple green cardstock and layered some strips of brighter paper behind it! Add a few epoxy dot ornaments and BAM! Done!
