Hello, crafty friends! It’s Nathalie here with new inspiration featuring this month’s new cut file, designed exclusively for us by the talented Paige Evans. This new cut file is perfect for documenting all sorts of memories, and other crafting projects. Let’s take a look at the cut file:

I used the new Echo Park Birthday Girl collection along with the cut file to create this project about my Goddaughter’s 5th birthday:

Supplies: Cut file: Paige Evans for SCT Magazine; Cardstock, patterned paper, cardstock stickers, die cuts:  Echo Park Birthday Girl collection; Adhesive: Scrapbook.com; Pen: Muji; Ink: Altenew

The design of the cut file is perfect to create a large bold title for your page, a great background, a sentiment, and more. However, I wanted to use it as both the title and background in one. For that, I chose to modify the cut file a bit.

First, I reduced the size of the cut file, so it was smaller than a 6×6” square. Then I copied the image a few times so that the sentence repeated along the width of the page. I made sure that the copies overlapped a bit which helped to weld them together. Finally, I cut the design from white cardstock.

The size of the designs/patterns in the 6×6 paper pad was perfect for backing each word in the cut file. I mixed patterns and colors here, and because they are all from the same collection they worked seamlessly together. Then, I attached the die cut to the soft blue background with pieces of foam adhesive from Scrapbook.com. The slight angle at which the cut file was placed on the page adds a bit more interest to the page.

I framed my layout with one of the collection’s patterned papers, then it was all about adding my photos and a few extra embellishments. For this, I simply added the photos following the angle of the background, then used ephemera pieces to the left and right of the photos to bring it all together.

I love how the cut file transformed this page into a beautiful keepsake. Remember to download a copy of the cut file HERE. I cannot wait to see what you will create with it!
