Happy Canada Day, friends!
We know you are celebrating today, and with this special holiday, summer has officially arrived! We’re celebrating all week long with Summer Fun Week! Be sure to check in here every day as we share summer-themed projects from our team, starting today with our Editor-in-Chief, Susan R. Opel! Let’s let Susan get the summer party started!
Hello, July! It’s hard to believe that we are already into the second half of the year and thick into summer. Time is flying, so let’s capture some memories and make pretty things!
Canadian friends, here’s hoping you are having a wonderful Canada Day! Here in the USA, we are gearing up for Independence Day later this week!
This week we are celebrating Summer Fun Week, and I’m kicking things off with this card that I created.

As a 15-year resident of Utah, summer makes me think of travel; this state has so many amazing National Parks. That fact made me excited for the Critters in the Desert stamp set from Lawn Fawn.
I wanted to start with an interesting and befitting color combination, so this color card that I found online was my starting point.
I enjoyed building my little scene and remembering trips I’ve taken to various Utah National Parks!
Happy July! I hope you have a summer filled with family fun and adventure!
Adorable card, Susan!🌵🏜️
Oh, I LOVE the national parks in Southern Utah! My hubby and I did a week vacation starting at Arches and ending at Zion. We hit 5 of the parks. They are ALL beautiful!
Such a cute card. Love all the layers.
I really like the colour pallet used for this card. The scene is very cute. I’d love to see those places for myself! 🦋
Such a fun card! Love the color combo!
One of these days I would love to travel to Utah.
