Hi everyone! Cathy Z. here and today I’m sharing a simple layout design with a more masculine tone, but one that features some fun (and free!) cut files for the autumn season.
I designed a few cut files for our Fall 2019 issue and knew I wanted to create some fun two-toned leaves for my fall-themed sports page.
Because this is a page about my college-aged son and his first tourney as a freshman, I really wanted to keep it fairly stripped down in terms of embellishments and whatnot. Creating my own simple leaves seemed like a nice way to add a bit of color and fun, without being overkill.
Here is a video tutorial showing you the basics of how this layout came together:
I hope this simple design gives you some ideas for some of your more masculine pages. Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check out the free cut file downloads from our Fall 2019 issue HERE!
It’s beautiful, the colours and positioning.
Thank you, Claire!
Such a clean lined LO with great colors!
Thank you!
Awesome layout. I definitely love the fall colours and how they lend to a masculine theme ❤️
Love what you did with the leaves! I’m going to remember that trick.
Gorgeous page! I am such a fan of CZ’s CAS style both in her scrapbooking and cardmaking. I love the font she used in her journaling. Is that Open Sans?
Lovely CAS layout. I love the leaves trick!
What a great page! The split colors just work as does the journaling!
