Happy first Monday of February! I hope you are feeling the LOVE as we kick off a week of Valentine projects here on the SCT blog for Love Week!
I’m currently in the midst of writing the spring issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine. I’ve been feasting my eyes on spring flowers and Easter celebrations, but today I’m stopping in with some sweet Valentine’s Day inspiration!
I have this THING for patterned paper. It’s a little ridiculous, but I feel like this is a safe place to declare this because you are my people. And you get it!
The newest release from Honey Bee Stamps includes a 6×6 pad called Love Letters that is just so cute! I decided to knock out three cards incorporating some of my favorite patterns from this paper pad. It’s a busy time of year when I’m writing the magazine, so I decided to keep things simple, and patterned papers are always perfect for quick cards with awesome results!
Each card is quite similar with a black card front and a die cut patterned paper panel. The lips are stickers from Honey Bee (EASY!) called Sealed with a Kiss, and the sentiments were matched up using two Honey Bee sentiment sets—Pickup Lines and Love Enclosed. To finish off each design, I added a coordinating gem sticker from the Love Letters collection in the middle of the word love.
I loved finding just the right ink colors from my stash. Thanks to Concord & 9th and Stampin’ Up! for having just the right hue!
One thing I love is that Honey Bee makes envelopes to match the patterned papers, and I particularly love the surprise inside of the red one!
We are so happy to have Honey Bee Stamps as one of our partners! And I’m so happy that you stopped by today.
Be sure to check back each day this week for more paper crafting projects that will inspire you to create this month, as well as an exciting giveaway at the end of the week from one of our partners! Here’s to a month of sharing love and inspiration!
A trio of absolutely fabulous cards! I’m going to check out the Honey Bee products you’ve used; they look amazing!
