These are also cards you can send to anyone’s mother—whether it be a close friend, your sister, aunt, or co-workers. I bet they would be tickled pink to receive a Mother’s Day card from someone outside of their family.

The main products that I used were the Lovely Flowers stamp/die and stencil, Master Layouts 1, Master Layouts 9, Close Knit Background, and Gauze Background.

The first card I created is monochromatic. I used the ink colors Sea Glass, Turquoise Sea and Tranquil Teal along with my blending brushes and detail blending brushes.

If you want to add interest to your backgrounds without taking away from the sentiment and image, try this! I stamped the Close Knit Background onto Sea Glass cardstock with Sea Glass ink.

For the second card, I went with bright, summery colors including Sweet Corn, Bubblegum, Passionate Pink, Sea Glass, Turquoise Sea, Applemint, and Lucky Clover. I almost created a rainbow!

The background for this card was created using the Gauze background and a tone-on-tone stamping technique by using Kraft Ink with Kraft cardstock.

For each card, I used an oval cut from White cardstock using the Master Layout 9 die set. It grounds my image and breaks up the background.

I used sentiments from the Fancy Phrases stamp/die set. Your Mother’s Day cards don’t always have to say ‘Happy Mother’s Day.’ I think we can put more meaning into our cards by using heartfelt greetings like these.

I have a video up on the SCT YouTube channel walking you through all of the steps to create these cards! Hit ‘play’ below or click ‘open on YouTube’ to open the video in another browser or your YouTube app, and don’t forget to hit the thumbs-up button and leave a comment!

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration! Happy Mother’s Day to all!
