Today team member Mindy Eggen is going to show you her latest set of Halloween cards that she created using this amazing system and the new BetterPress Halloween collection! Let’s take a look!

Hey friends! This is Mindy Eggen and today I’m sharing with you some inspiration using the new BetterPress Letterpress Halloween Collection from Spellbinders!

The BetterPress system is so easy to use and creates stunning designs on your card projects. I love the variety that Spellbinders has been coming out with for all of the different seasons and occasions and since Halloween is coming up, I thought it would be fun to create with it!

Supplies | Spellbinders: BetterPress system, Spider Web Betterpress Plate, Halloween Icons BetterPress Plate, A2 Porcelain Cotton Card Panels, Betterpress Black Ink; Ranger: Distress Oxides in Tumbled Glass, Blueprint SketchVillainous Potion and Black Soot, Black Soot Distress Spray Stain; Taylored Expressions: Bleed Proof White Ink

Both of my cards feature this amazing Spider Web Betterpress Plate. You can do the BetterPress before or after ink blending, but to be honest, I love doing it AFTER I create a background.

I find that by doing the letterpress after ink blending, the ink stays more true to color.

Using the A2 Porcelain Cotton Card Panels, I ink blended the backgrounds using Tumbled Glass, Blueprint SketchVillainous Potion and Black Soot distress oxide inks. Then I used the Spider Web with BetterPress Black Ink and the BetterPress system. Such amazing detail! And don’t forget, you can use these plates with your Glimmer system, too. Just picture this spider web in a matte silver glimmer foil—it would be stunning!

I also used the Halloween Icons Betterpress Plate. I couldn’t pick just one image from the set which is what led me to creating two cards. Plus, when you cut out the sentiments with their coordinating die, it cuts out all of them at once, so I had sentiments to spare.

The icons are done on the A2 Porcelain Cotton Card Panels in BetterPress Black ink which I fussy cut them out.

Before adding my sentiments to the card fronts, I added splatters with Bleed Proof White Ink and Black Soot Distress Spray Stain.

My sentiments and images were added to the front of the panels using foam squares to add depth and dimension. I love how both of these cards turned out! Have you tried the BetterPress Letterpress system yet?
