I love that so many possibilities and ideas come from the inspiration gallery in our recent Spring issue. The beautiful page by Kat Benjamin on Page 67 caught my eye with the linear horizontal photo strip accented with a pretty scalloped border.
Kat’s layout was my jumping off point for creating an 8.5×11 page recording my travels to Europe last Summer.
Supplies: Patterned papers; Ephemera; Stickers: Vicki Boutin, Chipboard: Me and My Big Ideas
I am a huge admirer of Vicki Boutin and her artful mixed media techniques. Her pre-made mixed media foundation pages are da bomb and give me that ‘turn-key’ mixed media which I love!
Vicki Boutin ephemera die cut and cardstock sticker was used to embellish around the photo strip and I added a few glittered chipboard pieces I had in my stash.
Hope you are inspired to get a little crafty and have a wonderful day!

Gorgeous layout. Love all of VB products too. This might become a scrap lift page for my album once I visit Italy in Sept. Thanks for sharing.
Love your layout Virginia, and seeing the jumping off point for it! The VB foundation page, and embellies works great (and I loved that MAMBI set … most used one of all I have). Thank you ladies for the inspiration!!
Awesome layout! I like mixed media too, although I’m not very good at it.
