Hello, hello! It’s Wendy Sue and I’m so happy to be back with you here on the SCT blog!! I recently had the pleasure of working with a fabulous new SCT Delivered kit and class curated by Nathalie DeSousa: Splendid Days

I loved Nathalie’s projects, but wanted to share how versatile the kit really is, so here’s my take on a double-page layout using the same kit contents!

Working with kits is one of my FAVORITE ways to create projects—so much of the hard work is done for you, choosing product that works together perfectly! That means I get to focus on playing and creating! I knew this colorful kit would be perfect for a recent family vacation to San Francisco!

I love these oversized tag cut-aparts on one of the patterned papers. I love them so much that I used them on both of the pages of my layout.

The tag on the left has printed butterflies, and I mimicked the design on the right page by adding butterfly stickers to one of the other tags.

I also loved using the fun and colorful labels on my layout for my journaling.

The labels are perforated so you could easily tear them apart to use individually, but I opted to keep them together and accordion fold them, so I could include lots of journaling! I added a bit of tape to the back side of the perforations to keep them from coming apart when they were lifted up by the clip on the right side to show all of the journaling.

Another favorite technique is to add stickers with foam adhesive for extra dimension and I always love adding machine stitching for a homemade flair and bonus texture!

Do you love working with kits as much as I do? If you haven’t had a chance to check out the Splendid Days kit and virtual class, do it! You won’t be disappointed!
