Have you seen the fall issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today? It’s always a favorite to create, and we hope you find loads of inspiration as you page through either digitally or with a paper version delivered to your mailbox.

The card that I created for my Editor’s Note in the issue features gorgeous products from one of our newer partners, Concord & 9th. Fun fact: the C9 headquarters are a mere mile or so from my house, so I got a visit from owner Greg Cottrell at my house! He came bearing gifts for me to use for my project.

Concord & 9th has a gorgeous color story, and I die cut a million leaves from a rainbow of their cardstock. The original plan in my head didn’t work out, so I had lots of leaves left to fiddle with.

I placed a rainbow of leaves around a gold circle I found in my bowl of bits and then added coordinating colors down the side with scraps I had on my table. The gold heat embossed sentiment was a good match for the metallic frame around the sentiment!

I had still MORE die cut leaves left over, so I added them as tone-on-tone on more cardstock strip scraps. You’ll notice that all three of the cards have gems for cohesiveness and extra sparkle. Because I am ‘extra’ like that.

Supplies | Cardstock: Bazzill Basics, Concord & 9th; Ink, embossing powder: Simon Says Stamp; Stamp, dies: Concord & 9th; Gems: Memory Box; Adhesive: Honey Bee Stamps, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Therm O Web

How delightful do they look together? I’m kind of obsessed! The black (and white in some cases) accents helped all of that color to POP!

Here’s to using all those glorious bits you’re saving for later. It’s a fun way to just play and enjoy, and I am here for that!
