Hi crafty friends! It’s Jess Forster here and today I am excited to share my latest pocket page, documenting my journey of motherhood using the gorgeous new collection, Remember, from Simple Stories. Have a look:

In this asymmetrical 6 x 12″ and 9 x 12″ pocket page spread, I used a combination of photos over the years of my kids and me. I love the idea of a story, bringing together photos from time and places. I used the dark navy color from the Simple Stories Remember collection to inspire my collage of photos. Hint: if your products and photos don’t match, consider printing your pictures in black and white to neutralize the colors.
For this pocket page, I printed one 6 x 8″ photo of my kids from last September as they started school, as well as a 4 x 6″ photo from Mother’s Day 2022 and a 4 x 6″ photo from when we brought our last child, my son Sam, home from the hospital in 2015. You will also see I included our newest fur baby in the photos, our new dog, River. I paired the pictures with the 3 x 4″ journaling cards from the Remember collection because they included meaningful sentiments like, “a life of love” and “always and forever”.
I love the feeling that this collection invokes and used it to write my story about motherhood. I love it when paper products, like this beautiful collection from Simple Stories, can motivate you to tell the details of your experience. To balance out the page, I used decorative brads and cardstock hearts in a visual triangle around my photos.
Do you like to print pictures from multiple times and places? If so, share a comment telling us what kinds of pictures you like to use. Also, I would love to hear how you document your motherhood journey.
Thanks for reading and Happy Mother’s Day to all who celebrate!
Beautiful layouts .. thank you ror the inspiration.
Love these pocket pages and your journalling..so special and I am sure the story you will be writing 10 years from now, will be a wee bit different and just as special. Love this Simple Stories line also! Thanks for sharing!
Love these pages & this collection! I haven’t documented my motherhood journey in awhile – you’ve inspired me to get a page done, it’ll be fun to go back and pull some photos of myself with the kids who are now adults!
