In today’s video, I’m going over in detail the supplies needed and a couple of techniques that you can use for your card backgrounds. Please note, more techniques can be done with these plates but this is a great starting point!
If you are not familiar with the BetterPress letterpress, it is a tool that will allow you to get the look of letterpress cards right at home. Letterpress is the transfer of ink or design of a plate into your cardstock, creating a de-bossed look.
Spellbinders has taken the time to find the best products in the industry to allow you to get the best results with minimal effort. That’s not to say you can’t use other cardstock or inks, but that is something you would need to experiment with to find what could also work for you!

I watched Mindy’s video yesterday. What excites me is that the letterpress plates can be used in the glimmer system. I have the glimmer system and this opens more plates to use. Thank you for explaining so well, Mindy.
I just love the letterpress look so it’s great there is an easy way to achieve that.
