Happy summer friends! It’s Virginia here on the blog sharing a fun mini accordion project I created with beautiful papers from the Sunny Blooms collection by American Crafts. I was also inspired by the amazing dies in the Scrapbook & Cards Today Celebrations Delivered cardmaking event kit. This accordion folder would be wonderful to document a house move or to be presented as a warm ‘welcome to the neighbourhood’ card to house messages and gift cards.
Supplies | American Crafts Sunny Blooms collection patterned papers, ephemera; SCT Celebrations Delivered die set: house, embossed panel, postage stamp, balloons, words; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: adhesive, 3D foam adhesive
I wanted to share an easy die-cutting tip to reduce or enlarge a die cut panel without affecting the decorative edges of the panel. I have included visual step-outs for your reference, and I hope you are inspired to know you can achieve multiple sizes from just one die cut!
The accordion folder is created by folding in half (horizontally) one sheet of 12×12 paper and then tri-folding it into three equal intervals (4”) to create the accordion base. Layering each panel with a fun embellishment grouping is sure to bring a smile to the recipient!
Thanks for dropping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
