Our Summer 2023 Issue is set to release this Friday, June 16th, and to get us all prepared for the summery goodness inside, we decided that Summer Fun week was in order! Every post this week will include a summer-themed project to put you in the mood to create when you escape inside to beat the heat! We are kicking things off with a FREE cut file from our Creative Editor, Paige Evans, and a lovely layout to go along with it by Lisa Dickinson! Let’s take a look!

Since it’s the season of pool parties, vacations and road trips, you likely have less time to scrap all the memories you’re creating. Fun, detailed cut files can be such a timesaver. With just the summer cut file, a few patterned papers and some simple embellishments, you can create a page super quickly (and get back to the beach or pool!)

After cutting the Summer Fun file from white cardstock, I filled the shapes and letters with bright, colorful papers from Bella Blvd. The summer-themed shapes add so much interest to the page (and also reinforce my page theme) without adding a lot of extra products. I mounted the cut file using foam squares on my patterned paper background.

Three photos were mounted above the title and then I added enamel dots to embellish certain parts of the cut file – so easy!

I always love to have a small embellishment that hangs off the top edge of my page – it gives a little hint to the page content, even when it’s tucked away in an album!
