Hey SCT friends! It’s Erica here with you today and I am excited to share a new Tuesday Team Tip! Today’s layout is all about texture! One of my favorite ways to create texture on a layout is to use paper and a punch. Punches are one of those tools that we all have in our stash and can really make a big impact on your page.

Supplies | Ephemera: American Crafts Paige Evans Wonder Collection; Enamel Dots: The Stamp Market; Diamond Flowers punch: EK Tools; Adhesive: Therm O Web

I knew I really wanted to make the background stand out on this page and be full of texture and this big border punch from EK Success was perfect! I punched a bunch of strips of textured white cardstock using the Diamond Flowers Large Edge punch

Using a tape runner from Therm O Web, I adhered the punched strips to a piece of white cardstock. I did my best to keep them even all the way down the page and once they were all done, I lifted up the bottom of the strips!

The end result is a full page of beautiful, white floral texture, which would be so fun to create in a rainbow of colors too! This technique would also be perfect on a card! My layout today has no other patterned papers and I only pulled items from two ephemera packs from the new American Crafts Paige Evans Wonders collection. My layout features two photos and the two frames in the ephemera pack were perfect to frame them.

I added floral die cuts around the photos and the “Some Kind of Wonderful” die cut for my title! I am documenting my two oldest sons holding their new baby brother for the first time! It just melts my heart and I love these photos! They were so excited to come to see baby Liam in the hospital.

To finish off my page, I added a second embellishment cluster in the top left corner and journaling using my We R Memory Keepers typewriter. I hope you will give this technique a try and pull out your punches! I would love to see what you create!
