Hello, SCT friends! It’s Meghann Andrew and I am so happy to be here with you today! One of my favorite articles in each issue is the 10 Most Wanted column which highlights the newest, must-have products in the industry! One particular product featured in our last issue that I was interested in was the Sealed by Spellbinders collection. I just had to give creating wax seals a try!

Supplies | Spellbinders: Sealed by Spellbinders starter kit, All-Occasion 1 wax seal stamp set, wax beads (Enchanted, Pastel Lilac, Fuchsia), wax seal stamp adhesive circles, Peppermint Stripes embossing folder, Dazzling Dots embossing folder, Essential Hexi-Gems cutting dies, Essential Floral Reflection cutting dies, Sealed Blooming Stems cutting dies, Hexi-Gem Sentiments hot foil plate & die set; Concord & 9th: Cardstock (Pebble, Wildberry, Eggplant, Briar Rose, Honeycomb, Avocado, Artichoke); Scrapbook.com: Deluxe adhesive tape runner; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: Foam adhesive squares; Other: Oil-based metallic gold paint pen

I began with the Sealed by Spellbinders starter kit, which includes basic supplies and gold wax beads to begin creating your wax seals! Then I grabbed a few more products—the All-Occasion 1 wax seal stamp set, which is another great product to have on hand, and four different wax bead variations—I love that there are so many available! I tried both circular and oval wax seals and created about 5 before I decided to make two cards with them. To be honest, I could create wax seals all day! It is so relaxing to sit and create them.

I pulled out a few simple elements to create my cards, so as not to take away from the beautiful wax seals. Embossing folders and simple shapes to create a focal point for my seals and flower dies were all I needed to create these cards.

I also highlighted the raised portion of the wax seals with a gold metallic oil-based pen. This made the designs stand out against the beautiful wax colors.

Want to see how I created the seals and my cards? Watch this video below now, or click ‘Watch on YouTube’ to open it in a separate browser.

I can see why this collection made our 10 Most Wanted list—what a fun technique to add sentiments and embellishment to your cards!
