Hello, Scrapbook & Cards Today friends! It’s Becki here to share a mini album that I created with products from Scrapbook.com. Scrapbook.com has a HUGE selection of versatile die sets available in their store. I also love their patterned paper pads! I created a fun gratitude-themed album using some of my favorite die sets, as well as the new Cozy paper pad.
Supplies | Scrapbook.com exclusives: Nested Hexagon Dies, Sunny Lane Florals dies, Cozy Foliage dies, Grateful Sentiments dies, Butterflies 2 dies, Cozy paper pad, Artist glue, Black & White sticker book, tape runner adhesive; Crafter’s Companion: Gemini 2 die cutting machine; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: foam adhesive; sewing machine, white thread
I have a confession: I don’t love summer. It’s not my favorite. I LOVE fall! Often, during the summer, I’ll jump into fall projects when all the new fall goodies start hitting the stores. That’s exactly what I did with this little album.
The base of this album was created with patterned papers from the Cozy paper pad, die cut into a hexagon shape using the nested hexagon die set. After cutting each hexagon from patterned paper, I stitched around the edge with my sewing machine and white thread. I LOVE the texture and interest that stitching adds. I add stitching to nearly every project I create.
I made each of the pages big enough to accommodate a 2 x 3” photo. By making the photos all the same size, it will be easy to order prints (or print them at home) later this fall when I finish the album.
I also left plenty of room for journaling. Journaling has become very important to me over the years. I include journaling on every scrapbook page and in every mini album that I create. On each two-page spread in this album, there is room for one photo on one page and one page with a little bit of embellishment and room for journaling.
There are also a lot of die cuts in this album. I turned Netflix on and sat down with my Gemini 2 and cut all the little bits and pieces that I needed for this album. Because the Gemini 2 has 9 x 12 ½” plates, it didn’t take long at all to cut out all of the pieces. I didn’t even get through an entire episode!
With this cute little album finished, I’m even more excited for fall to arrive! I am so happy with how this little album came together! I hope that you’ll try some of Scrapbook.com’s exclusive die sets and patterned paper pads to create something special, too!
Happy fall crafting, my friends!
