A look at Layle Koncar’s spring-themed Travelers Notebook!

Howdy everyone!  I’m back…. :)

It’s Layle Koncar – think ‘Gayle’, with an ‘L’ – Director of Marketing for Simple Stories/Carpe Diem.  I’m so excited to be back with you again in 2018, sharing more Carpe Diem goodness!

But first, happy spring!  Looking out my window today & I see crocuses struggling to push through the dirt & buds emerging on the trees.  It’s such a great time of year, watching everything begin to bloom & grow brings so much light to what’s been a long, dark & wet winter!!  This month I’ve brought spring into my Traveler’s Notebook to help usher in the new season.

If you’re not familiar with a Traveler’s Notebook, in a nutshell, it’s a leather or faux leather cover with elastic bands to hold notebooks inside & an elastic band to hold it closed.   Interested in learning more about them?  Catch this Intro to Traveler’s Notebooks Facebook Live video I recorded a few months back!

This month I used the new Simple Stories I AM… collection to deck out my Traveler’s Notebook (also known as a TN) for spring.

Make sure to download those free printables; I’ve used a number of the free printables in my TN.  And when you see how useful & fun they are, you’re going to want to use them too!

After decorating the inside pockets with 3×4 cards, die cuts & stickers from the collection – so pretty! – I created a fun & functional notebook/insert for work to keep track of all of my To Do lists.

I printed 2 of the designs from the I AM… Free Printables & adhered them directly to my insert, then added some washi & stickers before writing my list.  Don’t you just love the watercolor on the ‘making it happen’ list?  It’s part of the printable, so you get the lovely look of mixed media without the mess :)

Now, I know what you’re thinking… ‘she can’t possibly decorate ALL of her To Do lists like that!’  You’re right, I don’t decorate all of them, but the truth is I do decorate some of them.  I’m a person that needs a little bit of creativity every day in my life.  Some days I have more time to play than others.  On the days where I don’t have much time, if I can take 5 minutes & add a few stickers to a To Do list, then so be it if it makes me fulfilled, right?!!

The free download includes more than 20 pages of gorgeous I AM… artwork.  Even if you don’t use a TN or a planner, the inserts will work great for your scrapbook layouts & cards as well!
