Hello there, SCT friends! It’s Meghann Andrew here with you. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today!

Our 10 Most Wanted column is one of my favourites in each issue, as it shows me what I need to add to my crafty must-have list! The Fall 2022 issue’s list was no exception, and included fall collections, inks, tools, and dies! My first must-have was the Let’s Create collection from Echo Park Paper!

This beautiful collection combines two of my favourites: crafts and autumn! Its beautiful colour palette is perfect for the season, and I loved the crafty icons and fun sayings about all the crafty things! I used it to create a layout about a BIG recent event here at SCT:

Supplies | Echo Park Paper’s Let’s Create collection: Collection kit, solids kit, frames & tags, ephemera; Scrapbook.com: nested pocket metal dies; The Stamp Market: Stitched Shaker Windows die; We R Memory Keepers: Corner Chomper tool; Close to My Heart: gold loose sequins, Exclusive Inks; Scrapbook & Cards Today: Crop & Create stamp & die set; Elle’s Studio: Hazel alphabet stamp

What better way to use this beautiful collection than to document the unboxing event from our fall Crop & Create Cardmaking event!? I loved that I was able to be a part of this celebration, and to keep things fun, I chose a serious pose and an outtake from my photos library, printing them at 3 x 5-inches.

One thing I LOVE about Echo Park Paper collections: their frames & tags packs! The frames in these packs are useful for SO many things: layering, framing photos, journaling—you name it, you can do it with them! I wanted to create a fun background of frames around my page and to keep it a bit more simple, I chose to pop out the center of each tag and filled them with paper from the solids kit. To echo the frames from the pack, I even created my own frame from the woodgrain patterned paper in the collection kit. I used this frame to hold my title, stamped using the Crop & Create and Hazel alphabet stamps.

Can you spot my journaling? Instead of putting it in a frame, I decided to keep it hidden. I used a fun pocket metal die from Scrapbook.com to create a pocket on the back of this pretty envelope, cut from the Let’s Create patterned paper in the collection kit. The phrase “every day is a good day to make a card,” was just perfect for this layout about our cardmaking event! I used one of the tags from the Let’s Create ephemera pack to hold my private journaling, which I made more accessible with a piece of baker’s twine.

Next came the fun part: adding little embellishments to the frames around my page! The sweet stickers found in the collection kit added the perfect crafty icons to highlight the weekend: scissors, paints, washi tape, and more! I also added a bit of bling with gold sequins from Close to My Heart!

I just love how this page turned out, and I love the Let’s Create collection for helping me to document my love of all things crafty and the events that are a highlight in my year. Be sure to check it out today in the Echo Park Paper store, or at your favourite retailer, and don’t forget to find the other 9 most wanted products in our Fall 2022 Issue on page 11!
