Welcome, everyone! It’s Latisha here with you today to share a boxed set of birthday cards. Birthday cards top the list of what cardmakers create the most, tied closely with thank you cards. There is no better way to make someone feel special on their birthday than by giving them a handmade birthday card!

I plan on making multiple personalized boxed sets to give as gifts, so my friends and family have a stash of birthday cards to give out at a moment’s notice.

Lawn Fawn celebrates their Fall/Winter release on September 16th, and one of their newest layering stencils was used on the front of the box, envelopes and cards. Stencils are a perfect way to elevate any project. With autumn weather on its way, I wanted to create a fall set of birthday cards but keep it fresh and subtle. The pink and orange color combination is so pleasing to the eye and really elevated this project.

The box was created using The Greetery’s stationery box die. Before both diecuts were glued together, it was stenciled with pink and orange ink from Lawn Fawn, to make it look like patterned paper was used.

Sometimes patterned paper is just too thin to create a project like this where a thicker cardstock is needed. That is how stencils or stamping can transform a project. The happy birthday and leaves were diecut and adhered to the front of the box for added interest.

Repeating the color combination square notecards were created with the same color scheme, stenciling, and a happy birthday sentiment in black. Since the cards are so simple, the layer was adhered with foam adhesive for more dimension.

It is so visually satisfying to create a box and matching notecards to give as a gift, or even keep for yourself. It will make the recipient feel so special to receive such a thoughtful gift!

Thank you for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to create your own handmade birthday stationery set!
