Welcome back to our next Father’s Day Week post! If you think you don’t have the right product on hand to create a handmade card for dad, creative team member Wendy Sue Anderson is here to prove you wrong and show you that a few pieces of paper, die cuts and alphabet stickers create the cutest card trio. Let’s take a look!

Hi, SCT friends, it’s Wendy Sue here with you today, sharing a few quick and easy cards you can whip up for Father’s Day using a simple recipe and a fun new collection from Echo Park Paper called Little Explorer! Here’s a peek at the card trio I created:

Supplies | Patterned paper, solid paper, ephemera pieces, enamel dots, stickers, metal dies: Echo Park Paper Little Explorer collection; Metal Dies: Scrapbook.com Tall Skinny alphabet dies; Twine: May Arts; Adhesive: Scrapbook.com and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Each card looks quite unique, but if you break it down, they are actually very similar, and I took some easy steps to create them!

The card size is A2 for each card, but they each open a different way! There are two vertical cards—one opens on the left side and one opens from the top! The horizontal card opens from the left side as well.

I die cut two large tags for the background of each card using various patterned and/or solid papers from the collection. I loved the faux stitching on these tag dies from Echo Park. They add interest without adding any extra work! I also added twine to the tops of each tag. Some are tied in a bow, and some are not.

I used the amazing Tall Skinny Alphabet dies from Scrapbook.com to spell out the recipient of each card. This set has become a fast favorite recently!

I used various pieces of ephemera, stickers, and adhesive dots from the Little Explorer collection to embellish each card with lots of layers!

These cards really are quick and easy to create multiples for all of the special men in your life, especially if you follow these simple steps!

Happy Father’s Day!
