Welcome to day two of our Father’s Day Week here on the SCT blog! Do you know what you’re giving Dad for his special day? If it’s a gift card, you’ll want to check out Nathalie DeSousa’s great idea and project below for a fun way to share it with him! Let’s take a look!

Hello SCT friends! It’s Nathalie here to bring you a fun Father’s Day gift idea. I am not sure if it is just me, but my husband is probably the easiest and hardest person to shop for. Since our kids are adults, I don’t have to purchase a present on their behalf, but instead, I get to be creative with making presents for my hubby from our fur baby, Poochie.

Supplies | Cardstock, patterned paper, die cuts, metal die set, twine: Doodlebug Design Doggone Cute collection; Metal Die: Pinkfresh Studio; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

What do you get for the guy who has everything? You get him the ability to purchase anything he likes with a gift card, but you pack it in style!

Since this is coming from our favorite child (our dog), I am using the Doodlebug Doggone Cute collection for this present, and a die set from Pinkfresh Studio.

I started by cutting the base out of white cardstock. This slider card die creates an interactive pocket where I can store my gift card. Next, it was all about creating the front of the slider. For this, I used the Doodlecuts Doggie Den die set, cardstock, and patterned papers from Doodlebug. I just love how easy this was to put together, and how cute the doggie house looks!

I hid the gift card under the folding panel and attached a piece of twine to the slider tag to make it easier to access the tag. A small piece of Doggone Cute Chit Chat was the perfect embellishment for the slider tag, and the space underneath it fits the gift card perfectly.

I added a small picture of our fur baby and “Daddy” as the liner under the gift card. Think of it as the gift that keeps on giving: once the card is used, you still will have the photo under the panel to cherish forever!

I hope this has given you inspiration on how to dress up a gift card for your Father’s Day celebration!
