Hello friends! It is Mari here today to share a layout I created with the beautiful April & Ivy collection from American Crafts.

Supplies | American Crafts: April & Ivy collection, White Foundations Paper; Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers Autumn Bouquet die set; The Crafter’s Workshop: Cosmic Music Stencil; Ranger: Distress Oxide Spray Peacock Feathers, Distress Oxide Inks Peacock Feathers and Crushed Olive, Dina Wakley White Gloss Spray; Hero Arts: Script Stamp; Gina K Designs: Amalgam Ink Obsidian; Scrapbook.com: Adhesive roller; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: 3D foam adhesive; Bazzil: Avalanche White 12×12 cardstock; Other: Singer sewing machine, white thread

I have been busy creating layouts with photos that were part of a recent photoshoot and I found April & Ivy to be the perfect collection for my projects.

I created a simple mixed media background using American Crafts white Foundations paper as my base. I sprayed Ranger Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Spray over a stencil and onto the white paper. I added Ranger Peacock Feathers and Crushed Olive Distress Oxide ink over some of the circles in the stencil. I stamped over the circles with a Hero Arts Script stamp using Gina K Obsidian Amalgam Ink. I added torn patterned and white paper to the top and bottom of the Foundations paper and did some machine stitching on the papers to add extra interest.

I printed two black and white photos at 3.5 x 2.5 and matted them on white cardstock.  I added the photos in the center of the layout, 1.5 inches from the top of the page.

I created clusters at the top left and bottom right of the photos using stickers from April & Ivy as well as white cardstock die cuts from the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Autumn Bouquet set.  I also added enamel dots and hearts from April & Ivy. I added my journaling strips to the left of the lower cluster to complete the layout, followed by white splatter.

I love the colors and patterns in April & Ivy; it is the perfect collection for everyday scrapbooking!

Until next time, happy creating!
