Welcome to another week of inspiration, friends! This week, Monday through Thursday, we’re celebrating mothers and mother figures in our life, showing how you can create cards for them and document them in your projects! We’re kicking off the week with cards from Mari Clarke that we hope will inspire you to create a card for a mother or mother figure in your life this week in time for Mother’s Day on May 12th!

Hello friends, it is Mari Clarke here for the SCT blog! This week, we are celebrating all of the mothers since it is soon Mother’s Day! I have two card projects to share with you using lots of fun products from Crafter’s Companion!

Supplies | Hero Arts: Deluxe White Smooth Cardstock, Crafters Companion: Swirling Leaves 2D Embossing Folder, Art Nouveau Frame die, Classic Echinaceas Mask, Shimmer Spray – Golden Sunflower, Call of the Sea; Gina K. Designs: Black Onyx cardstock, Tranquil Teal cardstock, Amalgam Ink – Onyx; Altenew: Versatile Greetings die; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: Adhesive

I created the Love You card with a 5 x 7 white card base. Using the Crafter’s Companion Swirling Leaves 2D Embossing Folder, I embossed a piece of 4.5 x 6.5 inch Black Onyx cardstock and added it to the white card base. I die cut Tranquil Teal cardstock using the Crafter’s Companion Art Nouveau Frame die. I stamped the Crafter’s Companion Wild Roses stamp with Amalgam Obsidian black ink onto white cardstock and added that behind the frame. I added the frame and stamped piece to the embossed black paper. The sentiment was die cut from black and white cardstock using the Altenew Versatile Greetings die.

The Hello card was created with the Crafter’s Companion Classic Echinaceas Mask. I placed the mask over a piece of 4 x 5.25-inch white cardstock and sprayed it with Crafter’s Companion Shimmer Spray in Golden Sunflower and Call of the Sea. Once this was dry, I added the card front to an A2 white card base. I cut the ‘Hello’ sentiment from black cardstock using the Art Nouveau Frame die used in the first card and added the sentiment to the card front.

I hope these cards inspire you to get crafty! Have the best Mother’s Day celebrating with the people you love!
