Hello friends! It’s Wendy Sue here with you today, sharing a quick and easy little card set inspired by the Spring 2022 Issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine! There are so many incredible projects and images in this issue, that it was hard to choose just one to be inspired by—so I didn’t! I chose the ad on page 9 from The Stamp Market as color inspiration. Isn’t it beautiful and happy?

I also love the simplicity of the projects in the ad. My second source of inspiration is on page 63 of the magazine: the opening page of the Inspiration Gallery column! I love the grid design and wanted to incorporate it into my project. Keeping those two beautiful images in mind, here’s a look at the card set I was inspired to create:

I dug deep into my stash and even pulled out some scraps I’ve been holding on to because they were too pretty to let go.

I also pulled out my square and rectangle-stitched metal dies from Echo Park Paper to use on these cards.

The different sentiments are also cut with metal dies from Echo Park Paper.

Because I wanted to keep everything simple, but still add a little bit of texture, I raided my supply of enamel dots and added some to each card.

I wanted to keep the cards fairly flat so I could mail them, so there isn’t a ton of dimension or embellishment. After I completed the set, I thought it would make a good gift as well, so I dug deep into my ribbon stash and found the perfect ribbon to tie them all together!

Now I just need to decide if I want to send them out individually or gift the entire set. They were easy to make, so maybe I’ll whip up a few more and do BOTH! I would love to hear how the Spring 2022 Issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine has inspired you! Happy crafting, friends!
