Hey SCT friends! It’s Jess Forster here, and we are just a few days away from the official start of summer, which calls for a summer fun colour scheme challenge. Take a look at the bold rainbow we’re challenging you to create with today:

I dont know about you, but after a long winter, I cant help but dream of longer days, barbecues and ice cream.

Supplies | Pocket cards, tags, embellishments: Simple Stories Summer Lovin’ Collection; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares Black Mix; Font: Remington Noiseless

I was inspired to use The Simple Stories collection, Summer Lovin’, in my 9 x 12-inch pocket page. I paired these colourful products with photos of my kids running through the sprinklers at my parent’s house in June 2020.

I used the 4 x 6-inch “Summer Lovin’” Title card as a way to highlight the colours red and blue in my layout. I cut the red gingham and blue solid papers down to 3 x 4-inches to create my own journaling cards. By focusing on these colours in my products, my kid’s bathing suits in my photos pop off the page. I just love bright, bold colours.

What is your favourite colour scheme for summer? Please share in the comments below, and don’t forget to create for this colourful challenge! Happy summer!
