Welcome to the final day of our Summer Issue Challenge Week celebration! Today we have a truly cool summer mood board to share with you, and one amazing card created by Dilay Nacar to inspire you to create with us! Let’s get right to it!

Happy Thursday, SCT friends! It’s Dilay here today, sharing a fun summer-themed card to celebrate the Summer 2022 Issue being released tomorrow! Let’s look at this week’s mood board that inspired my card:

This card uses a few of my favorite old and new Concord & 9th products, but you can customize each element with products and cardstock colors that you have in your stash! Let’s dive right in!

Supplies | Concord & 9th: Modern Mosaic Card Front Die, All The Letters Dies, Good Vibes Only Dies, Picked Posie Dies, Midnight Cardstock, Sprout Cardstock, Grapefruit Cardstock, Sorbet Cardstock, Buttercup Cardstock, Aqua Sky Cardstock, Gold Glitter Cardstock; Other: Gina K. Designs White Cardstock, Honey Bee Stamps Dew Drops, Scrapbook Adhesives Thin 3D Foam Squares, Thermoweb iCraft UltraBond Clear Adhesive

The Modern Mosaic Card Front Die from Concord & 9th, because of its puzzle-like pieces, is one of the easiest dies to customize – you can create new and impressive backgrounds just by switching up the colors! For this card, I went with cardstock colors in Buttercup and Aqua Sky, adhering each die cut piece to an A2-sized card base with liquid adhesive and trimming off any excess. (Tip: For a wave-like appearance, add some space between the pieces, as I did on the bottom half of my card.)

I love using letter dies to personalize my cards, and the Concord & 9th All The Letters Dies is one of my favorites! For this card, I die cut the word ‘SUMMER’ once in gold glitter cardstock and twice in white cardstock, then stacked and adhered them together. Next, I cut the smaller florals from the Picked Posie Dies, the blooms Sorbet and Grapefruit, and the leaves in Sprout and Sea Glass, adhered those to the card, then adhered ‘SUMMER’ on top. (Tip: To create a more complex dimension, use adhesive squares on just some florals instead of all of them.)

Next, I die cut ‘vibes’ from the Good Vibes Only Dies in Midnight cardstock and carefully adhered it over top of the glitter letter dies, then adhered a few more of the Picked Posies die cuts tucked underneath. To finish, I added clear embellishments and mounted the card onto an A2-sized, top-folding card base.
