Hello SCT friends! It’s Nathalie with you today to share a new project inspired by the fun sketch on page 30 of the Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine Summer Issue, and the fun and gorgeous Beautiful Things collection from Bo Bunny!

Supplies | Patterned paper, cardstock stickers, enamel dots, puffy stickers, clear stickers, ephemera: Beautiful Things collection by Bo Bunny; Cardstock: Bazzill; Puffy alphabet stickers: My Type Collection by FancyPants Designs; Edge Punch: EK Success; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L; Paper clip: Felicity Jane; Pen: Sharpie

There is always so much inspiration to be found in each issue of the magazine.  I love checking all the extras that are included in each issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine, such as the extra PageMaps sketches! Let’s take a look at the sketch I used for my 8.5 x 11-inch layout:

The patterned papers in the Beautiful Things collection are gorgeous! I trimmed one of the subtle B-side patterns as the base for my layout. I followed the blueprint of the sketch and trimmed pieces of cardstock and patterned paper to create the vertical strips of the sketch. The scalloped edge just softens the lines of the layout.

I chose to replace the small card behind the photo with a second picture—I love the versatility of sketches! I kept the position of the cluster of embellishments on the top left corner of the photos as in the sketch, as this helps to anchor the pictures to the layout and connects them to the scalloped edge of the page.

I followed the sketch for the optimal placement of the page’s title and subtitle. I love the contrast of the round puffy alphas all stacked up to the shimmering script word sticker!

My choice to switch the placement of the bottom embellishment to the right of the page just helped to create a soft diagonal design. This is a personal choice as I enjoy having a flow in my pages.

Don’t forget to check all the extra PageMaps sketches available in the current issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine. You are going to love using them for your projects! We cannot wait to see what you will create with them, so be sure to share with us on social media by using the #sctmagazine hashtag! Until next time!
