Things We Love Thursday with Victoria Calvin

Hello everyone! This is Victoria and today for Things We Love Thursday, I am sharing two scrapbook collections and a card kit that I am completely obsessed with! Warning: You will be enabled—it’s my love language! Let’s jump right in!

Simple Stories Simple Vintage Lemon Twist Collection

First up is the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Lemon Twist collection. Any collection that features lemons and vintage accents is totally my jam! I love the mix of yellow along with turquoise, black, and white—an excellent color combo. This collection includes lots of fun die cuts, stickers, and gorgeous patterned papers. In fact, I love this collection so much that I bought a second set just to have on hand!

So far, I have put this collection to good use! Check out my most recent project: I created two A2-sized cards (4.25 x 5.5-inches) using the Simple Vintage Lemon Twist 6 x 8-inch patterned patterns, die cuts, and brads.

These cards were so easy to make! First, I created a card base using smooth white cardstock by Catherine Pooler. Next, I trimmed a 4.00 x 5.25-inch panel using the Simple Vintage Lemon Twist 6 x 8-inch patterned papers.

To complete each card, I adhered die cuts and brads from the collection for added interest and dimension. To play off the vintage style, I inked the edges of the patterned papers with Black Soot Distress Ink by Tim Holtz and Ranger.

Simple Stories Family Fun Collection 

Every Friday, my family and I enjoy a fun game night. And of course, I love to scrapbook our hijinks (and cheating strategies!) When I first came across the Simples Stories Family Fun collection, I knew that it would be perfect for documenting my family game night shenanigans!

This collection is filled with fun patterned papers, game and movie night icons, die cuts, puffy stickers, a stamp set and more! It is super colorful and includes a nod to popular games such as dominos, cards, and board games like Sorry, Life, and Clue! It’s a great collection to add to your stash.

Spellbinders Kit of the Month Clubs

I absolutely adore everything created by Spellbinders! Their products make it easy to create stunning cards and a variety of crafty projects. This club is such an amazing value and I have been enjoying making cards for hours on end using all of my kits!
