Hello, Scrapbook and Cards Today friends! It’s Becki here to share a layout that I created with the this month’s FREE Thanksgiving-themed cut file designed by Paige Evans. It combines two of my favorite things: a bold title and florals! Take a look:

I had so much fun creating with this new cut file and the Garden Shoppe collection from Paige Evans and American Crafts!

Supplies | Paige Evans Garden Shoppe collection: patterned paper, stickers, 6 x 8-inch paper pad, layered stickers; American Crafts: white cardstock; Silhouette America: Cameo 4 die cutting machine; Scrapbook.com: foam adhesive

When planning this layout in my mind, I thought I wanted to go with a traditional Thanksgiving color scheme using orange, brown, and yellow. After cutting the cut file out of white cardstock, I decided I wanted to use a non-traditional color scheme. As I looked through my supplies I decided to work with the new, colorful Garden Shoppe collection from Paige Evans and American Crafts.

The first thing I did was to back the cut file. Most of the letters are backed with patterned papers from the Garden Shoppe 6 x 8-inch paper pad. These paper pads are perfect for backing cut files since their patterns are typically scaled at a smaller size than their 12 x 12-inch counterparts! There’s no need to cut into a 12 x 12-inch piece of patterned paper when you can use paper from a smaller paper pad.

After backing the cut file, I chose a background paper. I fell in love with the dark green patterned paper. I love the contrast of the white cut file against the dark background. I wanted to add a little bit of color to the background to give it a more finished look, so I cut two strips of colorful plaid paper to go on the right and left sides of the page.

Because the cut file is so large and busy, I only added a few stickers to embellish the layout. I added three layered butterfly stickers on the cut file and a phrase sticker above each of the photos.

I am SO happy with how this project came together. I love the large title surrounded by flowers. What a perfect cut file to document Thanksgiving memories; we cannot wait to see what you create with it!

I wish you a wonderful holiday season filled with those you love! Happy Thanksgiving, my friends!
