Welcome to day nine of our 12 Days of Holiday Giving event! We take a lot of photos over the holiday season, and pocket pages are a quick and easy way to get all of those special photos into our album! Today we have Jess Forster with us to share how she documented special family photos in pockets using a new collection from Echo Park Paper! Take a look, and don’t forget to leave a comment on today’s post to enter to win our next two partner prizes!
Ho Ho Ho! Happy Holidays, SCT friends! It’s Jess Forster and today I am thrilled to show you how I decorated my pocket page, using the Christmas Time collection from Echo Park. Have a look:
Supplies| Echo Park: Christmas Time collection kit, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: adhesive; Font: Remington Noiseless
In this single, 9×12 inch page protector I documented our Christmas photos from this year. I used a simple colour scheme of greens, reds, and whites and paired them with cardstock stickers from the collection pack. Specifically, I cut down 3×4 element cards and placed them on top of the beautiful patterned paper to create my unique journaling cards.
I printed two 4×6 photos, my favourite from this year’s photo session. They include pictures of our dog River, who joined our family this year. The photos match the colours in Echo Park’s Christmas Time collection which includes traditional green hues with classic holiday sayings. It also contains lovely motifs like poinsettias and Christmas trees, which I replicated through each of my pockets. This was a win-win in my book as it gives the page a colourful, cohesive look!
I hope these simple ideas of pairing patterned paper with 3×4 element cards inspires you to decorate your pocket pages. Thanks so much for reading and from my family to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
