Hello, SCT friends! It’s Meghann Andrew with you today to share my latest pocket page spread featuring a gorgeous new spring collection that I just love, The Simple Things from Pinkfresh Studio! This everyday collection features beautiful spring colours with a wide range of icons and sentiments that make it perfect for everyday scrapbook pockets and pages. Take a look!

Supplies | Pinkfresh Studio The Simple Things collection: paper, stickers, ephemera; Scrapbook.com: Everyday Moments pocket cards, Growing Up So Fast pocket cards, 9 x 12″ pocket pages; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: EZ Runner Grand permanent tape runner,  EZ Runner Grand repositionable tape runner, EZ Runner permanent fine adhesive runner; American Crafts: Design F pocket page

There is nothing I love more than documenting our everyday memories in pockets, and for today’s project, I filled in a gap in my 2023 album for the month of March. It included the perfect collection of photos to pair with The Simple Things collection! To create the base for my pockets, I used only two 12 x 12″ papers from the collection, the cut-apart All the Things paper, and the striped Here Comes the Fun paper, which I used for my title pocket and set the tone for the colour scheme.

The large puffy alphabet puffy stickers were perfect to create the ‘March’ title. Throughout the pages, I added cards cut from the All the Things paper and paired them with others cut from the B-side of the same paper, which featured a rainbow gradient. There is no shortage of colour in this collection!

I also loved creating sub-titles with the mini puffy alpha stickers that come in a rainbow of hues!

To The Simple Life collection, I added a couple of Scrapbook.com’s exclusive pocket cards from the Everyday Moments and Growing Up So Fast pocket cards. They coordinated perfectly and gave me the opportunity to add more journaling throughout the monthly spread. With all of this colour, I didn’t have to add too much embellishment. The cardstock and layered stickers, vellum ephemera, and puffy stickers provided the perfect touches to my everyday photos.

When adding vellum embellishments to your projects, you don’t want to see adhesive underneath, so I like to use Scrapbook Adhesives brand EZ Runner permanent fine adhesive runner. It was perfect for all of the translucent embellishments, like this cute plant pot & washi strip.

One of my favourite embellishments in this collection are the layered stickers. They have the sweetest icons and sayings, like this paint palette I added to my favourite card from the All the Things paper.

On two of my cards cut from the b-side of the All the Things paper, I typed my journaling, printed, and trimmed them down to create my own journaling cards. They looked so great with embellishments added to the negative space.

Although these pages may look complicated, only two sheets of paper and a few embellishments pulled these everyday memories together, and I so enjoyed adding colour and spring vibes to my album with The Simple Things collection!

I hope you enjoyed this peek into my monthly pocket page album, and you’ll consider starting one of your own using supplies that you have on hand! Happy creating!
