Greetings from Utah, dear readers! I hope you’re having an AMAZING December so far.
I’m happy to be kicking off another amazing 12 Days of Holiday Giving with SCT! Our team will inspire and delight you, and you won’t believe your eyes when you see the stellar prizes from our sponsors! Let’s get this holiday party started!
There’s something about this time of year that gets my creative juices flowing, and I’ve had such an inspired fourth quarter of 2022! I was so inspired that I decided to break out of my card making phase to try my hand at a little mixed media.
Supplies | Patterned paper, gems: Spellbinders Santa Lane collection; Glitter cardstock: Concord & 9th; Stamp, dies: Hero Arts; Candy cane, deer: Tim Holtz; Adhesives: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Therm O Web, Plaid; Cardstock, ink: Simon Says Stamp; Greenery: Stampin’ Up!; Other: Ribbon, wooden clipboard
The Spellbinders Santa Lane collection is so beautiful, with elegant and vintage patterns, and I began by choosing three patterns I loved and went about adhering them with Mod Podge to a wooden clipboard I had in my stash. To be honest, I wrecked a portion of the patterned paper with the Mod Podge, but I knew I could still make it work.
In terms of design, I thought of the clipboard as a mini slimline card, which helped me come up with each element’s placement.
I loved delving into my ribbon and dimensional embellishment stash to find delightful ways to add pizzazz to my design! Sometimes I’m able to find the perfect, forgotten thing to use!
Hero Arts helped me with the perfect sentiment to convey the warmth of Christmas and a beautiful frame die to add lots of sparkle!
May the light and love of the season bring you warm memories you’ll cherish for a lifetime! Merry Christmas, and here’s to a wonderful, happy, and prosperous 2023!

My favorite memory is ringing the crystal bell on Christmas morning to wake everyone up. I had to wait until the sun was up before ringing it and that was a challenge for an early riser!!
Fabulous prize package to start off your 12 Days of Holiday Giving event!
My favorite holiday memory was spending a Christmas Eve with my family at my grandparents Victorian home in Santa Barbara, CA. I was about 8 years old and got to stay up (after a nap!) to attend Midnight Mass. When we returned back to the house, we had much excitement as we discovered that Santa had already come by and left our presents!
The clipboard is beautiful! I love the paper that was used. ❤️
The little clipboard is gorgeous, I love that little deer on there! Such generous giveaways, thanks SCT!
This is a beautiful delve into mixed media! Love the fine detail in the embellishments that you don’t notice at first glance.
I love the way you’ve combined so many elements on the clipboard! It‘s beautiful!
What a beautiful clipboard! Thank you for sharing!
Holy cow! That is gorgeous! I need to remember to dig into my stash more often for sure. The prizes today are amazing! Thank you so much for a chance to win.
Congrats Lisa on winning the Concord and 9th whimsical wings giveaway.
I realized I forgot my favorite memory. As a child I was in the hospital one Christmas (febrile seizure) and I remember Santa coming to visit me (I guess it was someone mom got to dress up like him). The little girl in the room with me didn’t have anyone come visit her that whole Christmas Day and I was so sad for her. I gave her the toy phone Santa had brought me. Even as a child it made me sad for this little girl.
My favorite holiday memory is the year my
husband surprised me with a new sewing
machine. This was in 1960 so it was a
big thing to get a new one. Made a lot
of clothes for him and the kids and Barbie
(the doll). Love that gold frame.
Not just one, but many….but all relating to witnessing the wonder and excitement of my chIldren and grandchildren over the years. There is nothing more heartwarming than seeing the joy on their little faces.
Wow!! What a great way to kick this off!! My favorite holiday memory is always doing the candlelight service with my children from preschool age all the way up to adult!! All of us or most of us anyway, singing and worshiping together is always the best part of Christmas!!
My favourite Holiday memory was 1979 as it was the last one before my father died. His birthday was December 31st. So 12/24-31 was always a fun week for our family.
My favorite holiday memory is making Christmas cookies with my grandmother and my mother while we had holiday music blaring in the background.
The giveaway sponsors are SOOOOOO generous!
Favorite holiday memory is the year we drove 18 hours to surprise our oldest daughter for Christmas! I’ll never forget it.
I love all the inspiration you share. Thank you.
My favorite holiday memory was Christmas 2020
My fave memory is making empanadas with my mom and now with my toddler! He gets so into it!
Beautiful work!!
When I was a child my grandparents and aunts and uncles would come over Christmas morning as soon as we finished opening our gifts to visit and see what us kids got under the tree. As a soon to be grandma, I hope that is a tradition we can start up again.
Awesome prizes Would love to win the prizes from these wonderful companies.
My favorite holiday memory is attending a quiet candlelight Christmas Eve service with my family and singing Silent Night.
Beautiful inspiration and great giveaway! Thank you for the chance to win!
Wow Susan what a beautiful project!
My favorite holiday memory is when I wax about five or six and I got a Raggedy Ann doll that was bigger than me. I carried that doll everywhere for years.
Thank you got the chance to win and happy holidays to all!
My favourite holiday memory is when Santa would come to our house for a visit before Christmas!
Wow, amazing day 1???????????????????????? All great companies. My best memory is getting baby Small Talk under my tree. I saw her in the wee hours of morning , up for a drink of water and bam….there she sat. 1969 ❤️
What a beautiful card! So excited for these amazing giveaways.
Super cute clipboard! Love seeing the December inspiration!
My favorite holiday memory is opening stockings on Christmas morning. Santa always brought new socks, chocolate, small toys and there was an orange in the toe!
When I was young, after opening my presents at home, I would call my cousin so we could share what we each received. We would be seeing each other later that day at my grandparent’s farm, but we couldn’t wait that long to talk. A child’s Christmas joy is something special to behold :)
As a child, I loved Christmas Eve. Mom would make appetizers for dinner, and always served shrimp cocktail. We didn’t have a lot of money, so shrimp was a huge treat. After dinner we would drive around looking at Christmas lights, and finish the night with midnight mass. It doesn’t take a lot of stuff to make a memory!
So fun to be back with the 12 Days of Christmas giveaways again…and thank you to all of the sponsors! One of my favourite Christmas memories, is when my 3 children opened up a Fisher Price Stove, it was in a huge box….and they all started to play with the box as a fort etc. instead of the F.P. Stove! Could have saved a lot of money and just wrapped some boxes!! LOL
Love it when you can use something from your stash to make such a beautiful project.
My favorite Christmas memory is our special Christmas breakfast of Butterscotch Butter Balls, bacon, scrambled eggs, and orange juice. I loved how our children loved it and now to see that passed on to the next generation.
What a beautiful clipboard! It has an old fashioned Christmas feel to it.
My favorite holiday memory is the looks on my boys faces as they’ve come down the stairs on Christmas morning.
Thank you for the chance to win these amazing prizes! 12 days of Christmas giving at SCT is always the best!
Driving around town with hot chocolate looking at Christmas lights with my boys.❤️
My fav memory was when, my mom was able to come home from the hospital from her Chemo treatments to celebrate Christmas at home. I was nice celebrating together (even though it was only the four of us). I was our new norm at the time.
A wonderful start to this fabulous inspiring series! My favourite holiday memory happened four years ago, when we brought home our then seven week old miniature schnauzer puppy, Lily! She brightens allllll our days! She’s a precious gift. LOVE my little girl!

Beautiful card! And what fantastic giveaways! I would be happy with just one of those! Thank you so much for the chance to win. My favorite holiday memory is a recurrent one. Every December 1st, my daughter starts wearing a Santa hat daily until it is Christmas morning. She is now 15. She brings so much joy to her friends and family goofing off in her Santa hat. I hope she never stops wearing it. It makes me smile every time I see it.

favorite holiday memory was seeing a shooting star on Christmas Eve – so magical:)
