Welcome back to day five of our 12 Days of Holiday Giving event! Today we welcome design team member Erica Thompson who is reminding us just how merry something mini can be! Mini albums are perfect for holding a large amount of photos or ephemera, and can be created and given as an extra special keepsake gift. Let’s see the mini that Erica has created to share with us today!

Hey SCT friends! It’s Erica Thompson here with you today to share a fun and festive mini album for the 12 Days of Holiday Giving event here at Scrapbook & Cards Today!
Mini albums make great gifts for the holidays and you can make them in so many different shapes and sizes!
For my album today I used the beautiful Busy Sidewalks collection from Crate Paper. I wanted to create an album that was full of different-sized pages, texture, and as chunky as I could make it! The album is about 5 x 7 inches and filled with so many beautiful patterned papers.
I love to create flip-ups and pockets for even more photos and journaling. You will find lots of different sized tags throughout the album and they are perfect for adding smaller photos and journaling.
Vellum is a fun texture to add to mini albums so I made sure to add a page of vellum!
I cut all my pages down first and then folded them in half. I made sure that they all fit inside the 5 x 7 inch cover. Once I had everything lined up I used my long stapler to bind them all together. This is a super easy way to create this type of album. Another option would be to stitch them together which would add another bit of texture to the album.
To finish off my album I added some adorable white pom pom thread and top my tags with some ribbon and twine!
I just love how this album turned out using the Crate Paper Busy Sidewalks collection! This type of album is also a great way to use up smaller papers or bits of a collection you have leftover! If you have never created an album like this, I encourage you to give it a try!

I LOVE mini albums & yours is beautiful!! I’ve been finding that doing mini albums is so much more relaxing than full page, large album scrapbooking.
