Welcome to day four of our 14th birthday celebration week! Today, creative team member Nathalie DeSousa is here with some cute birthday card inspiration AND we’re sharing three new giveaways from our partners! Let’s get to the celebration!

Hello SCT friends!
It’s Nathalie here, joining in the SCT Birthday Celebration! What better way to bring joy to the party than to share a set of colorful cards using the new Pebbles Inc. “Happy Cake Day” collection!
Supplies | Patterned paper, ephemera, cardstock stickers, puffy stickers, stamp, washi tape: Pebbles Happy Cake Day collection; Cardstock: American Crafts; Die: Altenew; Ink: Vicki Boutin for American Crafts; Tools: Scrapbook.com ink blender; Twine: Maya Road; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L; Sequins: Recollections
Working with the Happy Cake Day collection made it so easy and quick to create this set of cards. For the first card, I covered the front of an A7 (5” x 7”) card with a rainbow-striped paper. Next, I used the Altenew die to cut a frame from white cardstock and backed the empty space with patterned paper, using foam adhesive to add some dimension to the frame.
There are so many cute embellishments in this collection that it was easy to choose a focal element for the card—a cute sloth! A bit of foam adhesive secured the ephemera and sentiment to the frame, and I finished it off with a few sequins.
The next card has a more feminine look. This time, I created the card panel using polka dot paper at an A2 size. I replaced all of the dots with puffy stickers so that they bring texture to the card.
I chose the large “happy birthday to you!” sentiment from the ephemera pack and tied a piece of string around it the card front after it was adhered with a few foam adhesive dots. I added the final touch with the small snail sticker on top of the bow. Cute and simple!
Now for a masculine card! First, I masked the card panel with painter’s tape and used Vicki Boutin for American Crafts pigment inks and the Scrapbook.com ink blender to create the colored stripes. Once the ink had completely dried, I used the Happy Cake Day stamp and metallic ink to add all of the cupcake images on the panel.
I cut a piece of lime green cardstock and glued it onto the bottom part of the panel, covering the cardstock seam with pieces of washi tape. Once again, I layered pieces of ephemera with a bit of foam adhesive to create the focal point of the card. All the pieces just worked together so well, that it was so easy to put these together!
I just love how festive these cards are! They are perfect for any birthday celebration!
Happy Birthday SCT! Thank you for always inspiring us!
