Hello, friends! It’s Andrea Lake and I am super excited to celebrate Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine’s 18th birthday week with you. I am sharing a project using a new birthday cut file designed by Paige Evans, and the Life of the Party collection by American Crafts! Let’s take a look at the FREE cut file first!
Click HERE to download this cut file for yourself!
This page was made to celebrate my mom on a trip we took together with my sister to Disney World in 2019.
Supplies | American Crafts Life of the Party collection: Papers, foam, and puffy stickers, ephemera, Thickers; Bazzil: Yukon Gold cardstock; Scrapbook.com: tape runner adhesive, foam adhesive, Artis Craft glue; We R Makers: All-in-One Tool; Other: Journaling pen, Glossy Accents, Silhouette Cameo 4 and cutting mat.
When I first saw this fun cut file, I immediately knew I wanted to add dimension to the gift pile. I went ahead and cut it three times. The first layer is the only one that kept the frame, and I only backed two of the birthday presents. For the second layer, I removed the frame and the two gifts I had already backed. I backed only the top present on this layer. For the top layer, cut out the frame, the top gift, and the two gifts that pick from the right. You need to back all the presents on this layer.
This was a fun page to put together. I love the blue fireworks background paper with the gold accents that I contrasted with the pink stripes paper I used to back the frame of the cut file. I added the first cut file with Scrapbook.com exclusive foam adhesive. The middle and top layers were adhered with liquid glue, and I popped some of the presents off the paper using more foam adhesive. I added a 3-1/2 x 4-1/4” photo of me and my mom at one of the parks, and put together a title at the bottom right of the photo. For my journaling, I created a small cluster using some ephemera pieces from the Life of the Party collection at the top right of the frame (on the inside) and wrote a few lines about the day.
This was a very meaningful page for me. I’ve been living far away from my parents for a few years now, and I love when I get to see them even for short periods. This year they are moving to the U.S. for good, and we will make it a priority to visit each other more often. I would love to see what you make using this gorgeous collection by American Crafts and/or this cut file designed by the one and only, Paige Evans.

My most significant birthday is going to be my upcoming 65th birthday in July! I have a twin sister and we are going on a birthday trip to England, Ireland and Scotland in June! Can’t wait to make birthday memories with her 🥰💕
Enjoy your trip to England on July. I’m from England, living in Canada now. I still visit there often. You will have fun
Beautiful layout by Andrea and amazing prizes!! My most significant birthday was my 50th which happened during the height of Covid. I didn’t think I would be able to celebrate at all but I woke that morning to a lawn full of yard signs wishing me a Happy Birthday from my friends and then we had a “driveway party” later in the day. They made me feel so special during a super scary time.
I celebrated my 50th recently, my family came together to make it so special. I truly felt celebrated and was so thankful to have my family and friends together.
These giveaways are amazing! Happy Birthday SCT!
Awesome cut file and a nice page layout using it.
My most significant birthday was my 40th. It was truly a one of a kind birthday!
Such amazing and generous giveaways! My most significant birthday was this year’s birthday celebration! My crafty daughter came to visit and we scrapbooked and made cards. Such fun!
I love the cut file and will have to use it.
My most significant birthday was the first one after becoming a mother when I was celebrating with both my husband and son.
I’d say my 40th birthday was a big one. A different stage of life and a dream trip to Greece!
Great birthday prizes for the giveaway!
My 30th birthday was big. My friends threw a surprise party for me that included family and friends and then my co-workers also did a big celebration for me. I think that also was a big turning point for me moving from my 20s to my 30s and it was then that I decided to begin the pursuit of adoption of my girls (who are now 19 and 20!!!).
My most meaningful birthday was my 25th as it was the last one with all of my family. Five months later, my father passed away.
My 21st (a very long time ago). I was officially old enough to drink whatever I want. A bunch of friends (still friends today) that were all 21 took me out and we had a great time. Most recently my 65th birthday, when I know that I am winding down and can soon retire. Thanks for the chance to win!
Amazing Layout and prizes. My most memorable birthday was my 40th. My husband surprised me with a get away to Lake Tahoe. I thought it was just us and then my friends started boarding the plane and were all coming with us to celebrate ME. Boy was I surprised!
Congrats SCT on your 18th! It is so typical of you to share the celebration with all of us!
My most significant birthday was the first one I enjoyed as a mother! I had waited a long time to hold my baby, and it was amazing!
Happy Birthday!! I think my favorite birthday was probably the first birthday after becoming a MOM!!
happy birthday SCT! My most significant birthday was, well really, every birthday. I take time to reflect on the year that just passed and what I’m hoping to accomplish in the year to come!
My 40th birthday was the most significant so far. I had just gotten married a couple months before. I was starting a new decade with so many changes. Plus I got to celebrate with all the people I loved, many of whom are no longer with us.
My 40th. Mostly because it’s the one I remember the most – big celebration with lots of family. ❤️
The most significant birthday for me had to be when I turned 16 so I could drive!
My most unforgettable birthday was my almost 50 party, given to me by my now husband. All my kids were here, my parents, my sister and all my dance students, my school friends it was totally amazing….and the first and only birthday party I’ve ever had.
Every year I celebrate my birthday with my family and friends. But my most significant and memorable one was my 54th birthday. My son and my nephews birthday is the day after mine and we celebrated all our birthdays at sunday dinner at my parents house. It was the first time in a while that my everyone was a dinner. That evening my dad passed. I celebrate his life on my birthday every year. Celebrating birthdays and Christmas were his favorite times to gather. Thank you so much for sharing this birthday week! Love love all things scrapbook and cards.
The birthday I remember the most was my 15th. In Puerto Rico for a girl turning 15 is a big deal. One of my friends organized a surprise party with all my high school friends. Boy was I surprised. Last year my 69th birthday was pretty memorable too as my oldest daughter organized a lunch with her sisters. Decorated like an Italian villa. We spent such a lovely afternoon.
My best birthday that I remember is when we spent 10 days in Dominican Republic, and I came back to our room to find balloons, cake and wine.
Wow, what a way to start the birthday celebrations. Love the fabulous layout and what incredible prizes! My most significant and unforgettable birthday was almost 5 years ago when my daughter gave me a card with an apple seed stuck in it. It was to signify the size of our soon-to-be Grandson at that time. A complete surprise and such fond memories of finding out I was to be a Grandmother for the first time.
Great layout, I love the idea of different dimensions for the gifts. I’ve had great birthdays but my most memorable one was my 10th birthday. Our family had purchased a camping trailer and it was delivered on my birthday. It was the beginning of great family vacations exploring our beautiful province. These memories had my husband and I follow in those footsteps for our beautiful family and the tradition continues.
Happy 18th birthday SBC!
What a great cut file and such a fun way to bring it to life.
My favorite birthday was my 31st when took a solo trip to Australia. Totally worth the day of travel!
My most significant birthday so far has been my 40th…celebrated with a trip to NYC with my sister plus a great family and friend party!
The giveaways today are AWESOME, and so generous! I think my most significant birthday was when I turned 40. I wasn’t particularly happy about being so old, though of course it’s better than the alternative! I know I cried more than once that day. Anyway, I’m in my fifties now and thankful for each birthday that comes around. Life is good!
I would have to say that my 40th was the most memorable. It was memorable because I was completely at peace when I turned 40. When I turned 30 that was not the case.
I don’t really have a birthday that’s been really significant. Any birthday that I get to spend with my family or travelling is always amazing! That cut file and layout are fabulous! I wish I had a machine that I could use it with!
What a beautiful layout. I’m going to try to use for a card
My most significant birthday was my 30th because I bought a portion of a section of seats at a MLB game and handed out the tickets to friends and family and I filled every seat with people I love.
Happy 18th birthday! My most significant birthday was when I turned 19 and was “officially” considered an adult.
Great cutfile for a birthday. My most significant birthday was my 50th birthday. The present was my first in person scrapbook workshop weekend. Been hooked ever since and love it.
I love your layout, Andrea! The print of the background paper plays perfectly with your elements and the photos are lovely!!
My most significant birthday was when I turned 28 years old and I had just had my first child, my beautiful Celeste only 10 days prior. It was a birthday that taught me that every single year that followed would be full of happy times, blessings, never ending love and also memories that I will hold with me always. She was the reason I started scrapbooking (and continuing with the birth of my handsome son 5 years later). The impact these two have had on my life and every choice I have made following gave me the wisdom needed to be even half of the Mom that I had been gifted from God (I miss her immensely). Fast forward, here I am reflecting on that day, 27+ years later and still knowing that was the most amazing Birthday of my life <3
My most significant birthday was July 26th, the
day my husband was born many years ago. He
was the love of my life and we had many great
years together. Happy Birthday to you.
THIS IS INCREDIBLE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCT!!! My favorite birthday I think was my 25th because it was my “Golden” birthday and we went out downtown Chicago to Second City and a night of fun!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCT!!!! My most significant was my 18th – I was away from my parents – up at my Nana’s and my aunt and Uncle with one my sisters for the summer and my sister made it very special for me with Roses and my first piece of real jewelery – a gold birthstone ring that I loved and just had a really special day with extended family.
Happy Birthday! My most significant birthday is milestone 50! And, I’m happy to say I don’t feel that old most of the time! Grateful for my health and family.
I would have to say that my 50th birthday was my most significant! I seriously can’t believe I’m fifty! In my mind I still think I’m in my 20’s and 30’s! 😁
Holy cow! All those prizes are amazing but how awesome would it be to win a place at summer camp! Let’s see, one of my most significant birthdays would be my 15th birthday. It was my first birthday after my mom passed away. It was tough because it was my first birthday without either of my parents since I lost my dad when I was 8. It was a tough one.
My best birthday was my 17th. It was my last with my father…
Happy Birthday SCT. My most memorable birthday was my 21st birthday. I graduated nursing school and was moving to Florida to start my new career. I have lived here ever since and recently retired.
I will have to go with my 50th birthday as my most significant. My parents threw a party for me and 7 of my girlfriends from grade school. I treasure those friendships and always will! I’m blessed to have them in my life and forever friends!
My most significant birthday was the first one( wink wink)… however the one that I am fond of is my 50th as it was filled with so much celebrating with family and friends!! 🤗❤️
I found out I was pregnant on my 30th Birthday. Best present ever!
Happy Birthday! 🥳 🎂.
Would love to win one of the awesome prizes.
All my birthdays have been significant but it hard to ignore those that end in zero, lol. Each year is a wonderful opportunity to pause and celebrate. I try to celebrate my friends and family on their special days as well 🤗
Happy birthday SCT!!!! What awesome prizes! I celebrated my 70th birthday a few weeks ago. It was quite a shock to realize that I’m that old! We planned a party and for various reasons my BFF’s daughter (like a granddaughter to me) and a single guy that lives nearby we’re the only ones who actually came. (None of our family live close enough to attend.) At least it wasn’t just my husband and I!!! So now instead of getting carded to buy alcohol I get asked if I’m old enough to have a tax free card from the city! 🥰
Wow! What amazing prizes! Happy birthday and thanks for the opportunity to win!
I would have to say my 40th. Felt like it was a momentous one, and I had made it to middle age.
