Welcome, friends! It’s Dilay with you today, sharing a floral teapot Mother’s Day card featuring gorgeous dies, stamps from Honey Bee Stamps, and new ink colors from Concord & 9th! I often like designing cards with lots of white space and pops of color, and this one is no exception! This card can easily be recreated with different colors and sentiments for any occasion and season!

I began cutting the background panel using the Honey Bee Stamps Spring Vines Layering Frames die and then adhering it to an A2-sized, top-folding card base. For the focal point, I die-cut the teapot from the Teapot & Cup die set and ink-blended it lightly with Concord & 9th’s new color, Pebble. To add a vintage feel, I used Tim Holtz Sanding Discs to slightly distress the edges of the teapot, and once complete, I adhered it to the center of the panel using thin foam squares (my go-to!) from 3L Scrapbook Adhesives.

Now onto my favorite part: the flowers! I die-cut different sizes of layering flowers, leaves, and branches from the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers collection (Tulips, Wildflowers, and Spring Greenery). I die-cut the flowers and ink-blended them with Concord & 9th’s new color, Dragonfruit, and the foliage with Aqua Sky and Oceanside colors. Once I finished, I tucked each of the die-cut elements behind the teapot, adhering some using liquid adhesive and others using thin foam for some added dimension.

To keep my teapot florals as the focal point, I opted to use a smaller ‘Happy Mother’s Day sentiment from the Honey Bee Stamps Queen Bee stamp set. I stamped it using Oceanside ink, die-cut it with the coordinating die, and adhered it to the teapot. As I like to do, I added a few embellishments to the foliage for some extra sparkle!

I hope this card inspires you to create something beautiful to celebrate your mother or mother figure in your life! Happy Mother’s Day all!
