Hello, my crafty friends! This is Mindy Eggen and I’m here today to share inspiration using the fabulous new Poly Glaze sheets from Gina K Designs, one of the 10 Most Wanted products from our spring issue! These give amazing results with very little effort and are super affordable.

You might be asking yourself, what are Poly Glaze sheets? Poly Glaze sheets are another way to add foiling to your projects using Deco-foil and a laminator. The designs are pre-printed in a poly glaze coating that is just lightly tinted on the sheet so you can see what the design is. All you need to do is add foil!  An amazing perk of poly glaze is that you can foil your project without getting black spots or dropouts.

To foil your project you will need a laminator. You can pick these up at any online or local store but my personal favorite is the Heidi Swapp Mini Minc Machine. It gives great heat, has numerous heat settings, and heats up super quickly.

After you foil your project in any of the numerous colors that Therm O Web offers in their Deco Foil line, you can ink blend right over the top using your favorite ink colors and/or stencil.

For this first card, I foiled the Diamonds Poly Glaze background in Gold Deco-foil.  Then used the  Spring Daisies Layering Stencil in the ink colors Light LilacDark LilacKey Lime, and Jelly Bean Green over the top with a blending brush.

The sentiment I’m using comes from the Radiant Roses Words Poly Glaze sheets set which also has a coordinating die. Did you know there is even Black Deco Foil? There sure is! I foiled one sentiment in Black and one in Gold.

For my second card, I foiled the Diamonds Poly Glaze sheet in Gold once again and this time ink blended on the Delightful Blooms layering stencil over the top with Light OrchidDark OrchidKey Lime, and Grass Green inks from Gina K Designs.

I find big open-area stencils work great for blending over the foiled Poly Glaze. The larger designs stand out a little better against all that shine. The best part is it doesn’t dull the shine one bit!

You can use the panels as-is or trim them down as I did for my cards. I added them to a white panel trimmed down with the Master Layouts 4 which has this beautiful scallop frame die and then added them to a white card base.

Another thing I like to do with the Poly Glaze sheets is die-cut large word dies from them. I didn’t do it for today’s cards but it looks amazing!

I finished off both cards with a few of the Clear Quartz Sequins attaching them using my Connect Glue in a fine-tip bottle and a Pick & Stick tool.

So if you need a quick card that has jaw-dropping results, this is it! You get 10 sheets in a pack so you have plenty for future projects.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration and will check out the new Poly Glaze sheets!
