Hello, and happy Tuesday friends! It is almost time to celebrate American Thanksgiving, a holiday which is all about being together sharing gratitude. This fall celebration overlaps with my daughter Rowan’s birthday. For a unique take on Thanksgiving, I created a pocket page that tells a story about how grateful I am for her in my life. Have a look:

Supplies | Elle’s Studio: October 2021 monthly kit, wood veneer, Jane Tile alphabet stickers, heart and star puffy stickers, black tags; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: Adhesive; Font: Remington Noiseless

In this double page, 6 x 8-inch page protector, I documented the reasons why I am thankful for my daughter right now. I included a variety of photos including a 3 x 4-inch photo, as well as an enlarged 6 x 8-inch photo of her holding up a beautiful red leaf. My girl is a pre-teen and snapping photos is always interesting at this age and stage. When she suggested that I take a TikTok-inspired photograph of her, I quickly got my camera. As I am sure some of you can relate, you have to seize the opportunity when it arises.

Using the Elle’s Studio red and pink 3 x 4-inch striped card, I wrote a short letter about the ways that Rowan has positively impacted my life as well as the qualities that I enjoy in her right now. Using Photoshop Elements, I typed my journaling using the Remington Noiseless font. I paired my journaling with beautiful wood veneer leaves, tags and star puffy stickers on a red triangle 4 x 6-inch card and created my own title card for the layout.

When it comes to writing your own thankful stories, what are you grateful for right now? Consider writing that person, place, or pet a letter describing how you feel about what they have done for you and why you are grateful to them. In your letter, mention specific examples, time and places or situations that you are thankful for their presence and support.
