Hello, friends! Can you believe it is already Thursday? This week has just flown by! Today, we’re sharing the uber-talented Becki Adams with you! Becki has created a new set of birthday tags, perfect for topping a card front in a pinch, or adorning a birthday gift! But she couldn’t stop there! She loved the cute collection she was using so much that she created a layout, too! Today’s giveaways are perfect for all of our readers—from the cute collection that Becki is showing off today, to must-have card kits! Let’s not waste any time!
Hello, Scrapbook & Cards Today friends! It’s Becki here to share with you a set of birthday tags that I created, along with a bonus layout! I’m so excited to share the Hey Cupcake collection by Doodlebug with you. I think this is the perfect collection for celebrating SCT’s 17th birthday week.
Supplies | Doodlebug Hey Cupcake collection: patterned paper, chit chat die cuts, odds, and ends die cuts, enamel dots, Doodle-Pops; Hobby Lobby: ribbon, pom-pom trim; American Crafts: cardstock; Scrapbook.com: adhesive; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: foam squares
I started by creating the base for three tags. These tags are cut out of 12×12 paper into a 4×6. I’m planning on adding these tags to small white gift bags so I wanted them to be big! After cutting the paper to size, I trimmed off the corners to create the tag shape.
The little girls in the Hey Cupcake collection are so cute!! I couldn’t help but add a few of them to my tags. I especially loved the Doodle-pop stickers with these sweet girls. I love the pop of texture and a little bit of shine from these cute little stickers!
Another element from the Hey Cupcake collection that I couldn’t resist was the cake and cupcakes. They’re so cute!! They make me hungry for a yummy birthday cake. I can almost taste that sweet, fluffy frosting!
To finish each of these tags, I added some ribbon and pom-pom trim. I think these are the perfect finishing touch to these tags. If a little bit of pom-pom trim doesn’t make you smile, are you even a crafter? LOL!
When I finished making these cute tags, I couldn’t just stop there. I had to make a layout. My daughter recently turned eighteen so I had birthday photos on my phone that I couldn’t wait to print and get on a layout. I used the same supplies that were already on my desk and created this layout within just a few minutes. I LOVE how it came together!
It was so fun to create these birthday-themed projects to share with you today! I hope that you’re loving all of the birthday-themed projects from the team this week. Thank you so much for stopping by the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog to celebrate our 17th birthday! Happy crafting, my friends!
