It’s day five of our 17th Birthday Week celebration, and although we’re sad to see the party end, we have wonderful things in store for you today! We invited team Spellbinders to share a few wonderful birthday cards with you that we know will inspire, and we have FIVE final prizes from our partners up for grabs! Without further ado, let’s end this party with a bang!
Happy birthday, Scrapbook & Cards Today, from your friends at Spellbinders! We are so excited to share our favorite birthday cards with you today. Whether it’s a quick and easy card you are creating as you run out the door to a party or a more intricate card for that special someone, we hope you are inspired to create with joy!
This first card has a real WOW factor, but it is quite easy to create. The So Many Candles Glimmer Hot Foil Plate paired with Rainbow Foil really does the work for you. Pop the glimmered panel on a card front and finish with a sweet sentiment!
Who doesn’t love a good shaker card? A simple color-blocked background adds a punch of color and the Surprise Party sprinkles are just too much fun!
Speaking of color-blocking, our Color Block Balloons Etched Dies create the best birthday cards, perfect for everyone on your list. Pick your favorite colorful cardstock and paper piece these cuties in a manner of minutes. The sweet embossed background adds another layer of dimension and we just love the fancy frills on the Hand Drawn Scallops embossing folder.
How about one last card? Stenciling is the hottest trend in card making, so we couldn’t resist showing off a brand-new stencil and die combo that is sure to make your wishes come true! The Make a Wish Confetti Stencil and Die set includes a four-layer stencil to easily add those layers of confetti along with a matching die so you can pop up the “make a wish” sentiment. How fun!
We have really enjoyed all of the birthday celebrations here on the SCT blog, and once again want to shout out “Happy 17th Birthday!” to Catherine, Meghann, Jen, and the whole SCT crew. To show our appreciation, we want to add a little surprise of our own. Check out this prize package (worth over $100) that features some of our best birthday-inspired products, many shown in the cards above!

My favourite birthday memory was a surprise party my friends had for my 19th birthday. My birthday is between Christmas and New Years so parties were normally a bust due to weather or vacays, But that year they made me feel super special the week before Christmas— before my uni buddies headed home for the holidays! I just remember feeling so overwhelmed by all the love!
Spellbinders never fails to blow my socks off and the paper pouncers from Picket Fence are the best! My favourite birthday memory is spending the weekend in Banff with the love of my life. We are at the most amazing restaurant and enjoyed a weekend if relaxing and time together. Best birthday ever.
Happy Birthday, SCT. My favorite memory includes a surprise party thrown by a class mate that I didn’t even think I was friends with. All of the girls in the 6th grade class showed up.
My favorite birthday was when my husband gave me a puppy.
Wow, when I dream of winning one of your giveaways, the sponsors make it impossible to decide which one to dream about – they are all amazing this week and so generous! Thank you sponsors and SCT!
Birthday Memories: my son’s 13th birthday we were leaving on a road trip. We put his presents in the car with him, but told him we would wait until the evening to open. But one present was his first cell phone, and we called it so the present started ringing in his lap half-way there. It was great – he was so confused!
Fabulous creations to wrap up your birthday celebration! Love all of the wonderful sponsors you have!
My favorite birthday memory was of a fun birthday slumber party I had when I was about 9 years old. It started with a rather bad haircut my Mom gave me the day of the party, saved by a beautician at the local beauty parlor! But the day got much better and the party was a big hit!
My favorite birthday was the most recent. My besties scheduled the perfect day – mexican food and drink followed by an incredible musical in the theatre. It was an amazing day.
I have a couple favorite birthday memories. The first was when I turned 30. My co-workers decided to do an over the hill surprise party for me. The other is a Mad Science party for the oldest son. We had all kinds of science experiments and freshly made cotton candy.
My favorite birthday memory was the year we surprised our son with a new car. He had no idea it was coming.
Best birthday memory is turning 40 in Greece! It was my dream vacation and what better way to spend a milestone birthday than being with my bestie in a dream location!
My favorite birthday memory is when my bestie and I attended a weekend event called Create, where you could take classes in almost any medium, like metal smithing, jewelry making, zentangles, painting, sewing, etc., and it happened to fall on my birthday. Like this wasn’t gift enough, my friend arranged for the hotel to deliver chocolate covered strawberries to our room with a card signed by all the hotel staff! Delicious surprise, and a fabulous weekend!
Great giveaways. My favourite birthday was my 30th. I was on Santorini in Greece and friends and I sat on the edge of a cliff , watching the sunset into the ocean. We drank local Retsina from plastic cups with elephants on them – the only festive cups my travelling companion could find. I carried those cups with me all over Europe and kept them for years.
Love the balloon card especially! I think all the birthday parties I had as a kid are my favourite birthday memories, so fun planning, making a cake, decorating and making up treat bags!
I have been blown away all week by the generosity of each of these companies. My favorite birthday memories are not traditional birthdays but the birth of my children and GRANDCHILDREN. Oh what beautiful memories.
I don’t have one specific birthday memory, but what I remember (and still know) is that my dad always made sure he was home for my birthday. He had two jobs and did taxes, so February was a really, really busy time for him, but he always makes sure my birthday is his priority that day!
What a birthday week! Again Happy Birthday to the entire SCT team! My best birthday memory would be when I celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday. We had a surprise party for him and celebrated with his closest friends and family. He has done so much for my birthday and was so nice to be able to do something special for him. Did I mention his bday is Dec 22!
My husband threw me a surprise party for my 35th birthday and it was fantastic.
Such amazing projects to wrap up SCT’s birthday celebration! Love all of the sponsors! My favourite birthday memory was a surprise party my family and friends had for my 40th birthday.
My husband got off work without me knowing and hosted a surprise birthday party for me (a little late as we were away for my birthday) at our house. The secret planning and ploy to get me out of the house (I was a bit sick and just wanted to stay home) took so much work.
all of these cards are soooo awesome. Happy HAPPY birthday SCT. one of my favourite birthday memories is the bunny cake my mom made me when I was a child. She made two round cakes, used one for the face and the other for the ear and bow tie. White icing and coconut for fluffiness. I miss her. Thank you SCT and Partners for this extremely fun week. And to all have a great Cardmaking Weekend ????
My 2 fondest birthday memories are when I threw a surprise 75th birthday party for my Mom, she thought it was a party for me as I was leaving my job lol I got a gift! She was so surprised and touched that 6 years later she threw me a surprise 50th birthday party with all my siblings and family in a swanky Boston restaurant!
Celebrating my kids’ first birthdays.
My favorite birthday memory… When I turned 36, my closest friends flew into town and we all had a big dinner partner to celebrate. It was amazing to know how many great people I have in my life.
WOW!!! Such fun birthday cards!!!
Such great giveaways today – saving the best for last!
What a fabulous birthday celebration week! Favourite memory: many years ago, my brother and SIL made a surprise visit to celebrate my 50th birthday with me. They traveled in winter weather to do so…and my SIL was pregnant with my niece at the time. Precious memory in every way!

Love the foiled card!
I LOVE the balloons! They are so different and adorable. Thank you for the chance to maybe possibly win. :)
One of my happiest birthday memories was when I turned 17. It was on a Saturday and my Mom invited all my friends over for a breakfast surprise party. I woke up to a large group of folks surrounding my bed singing happy birthday. I was shocked and then embarrassed as I looked a fright. However, it was loads of fun and I will never forget it.
Malice Spellbinders. And just all of the wonderful vendors you work with. My favourite birthday memory is the celebration of my 50th birthday. I had friends from near and far. So great!
My best birthday memory is surprising my kids with a Disney Cruise trip before their 10th and 6th birthdays!
My birthday when I went on a trip to Vegas and California!
My favourite memory is when my mom and brother and I flew to Victoria as a surprise for my other brother’s 50 th. The look on his face was priceless.
Love the layered balloons and the
confetti for the shaker card. Fun idea.
Happy Birthday! best wishes for many
more. thanks for including us in your
celebration.
Two are my favourite birthday memories are when my parents each turned 80 years old. On both occasions we had a family celebration.
Last week was a milestone birthday and it was awesome! Dinner with friends and family.
Holy cow! More great prizes and projects. I need to remember to use those balloon dies from my stash! I don’t really have any birthday memories that stand out above the rest. Lol. Although when I turned 30 my then toddler (now almost 22) gave away they were throwing me a surprise party by whining at the football field asking if it was time to go to the bank for mommy’s party lol. The party was In the basement of a bank.
Happy birthday to the entire SCT team! Thanks for the chance to win. My favourite birthday memories centre around the at-home birthday parties that my mom use to throw for me. Homemade cakes. Party games. Pretty low key by today’s standards but so special to me at the time.
I got engaged on my birthday! So that’s my favorite memory from my birthday!
Oh My love those balloons! the simple stories line is amazing.
Thanks for sharing birthday week with us all! Great ideas and awesome prizes. Good luck to everyone and thank you to all the sponsors!
I don’t really have a favorite memory for my birthday! I just love spending it with the family and just being together creating new memories!
WOW ~ Cheers SCT!
In 2021 my middle daughter turned 40, we had a family cruise booked, but due to COVID it was canceled by the cruise line. We quickly regrouped and booked an all inclusive to Punta Cana, there were 7 of us and we had an amazing time.
Lots of birthdays in our family in April!. Springtime is so fun for parties!.
Thank You SCT for the inspiration.
so many wonderful projects – so creative:)
My favorite birthday was when my whole family came – it was such a wonderful unexpected surprise – made me feel very loved:)
Happy 17th birthday SCT!! These cards are wonderful…I love those color block balloons dies :) Some of my favorite birthday memories are from when I was in grade school. Every year I had a sleepover party – we went out for pizza and roller skating and it was so fun!
Happy Birthday! Loving all the samples from the talented design team!
Great giveaways all week! Wow,
Best birthdays were when I was young… the sleepovers with my best friends. :)
My best birthday memory is the year I ended up with three cakes; a homemade one from Mom, a beautifully decorated Holly Hobbie one (I’m dating myself) from my older sister, and an iced angel food that I won during a cake walk at the school dance. The look on my mom’s face when I walked in with that 3rd cake!
Happy 17th Birthday SCT and thank you for the chance to win such lovely gifts.
I love birthdays and making them special for others. One of my favorite memories was when my husband planned my 30th birthday party with a Hawaii theme and we lit paper lanterns. One got stuck in a tree and thankfully we could get it down before there was a fire!
Thank you for the opportunity to win all these fabulous prizes this week! A favorite birthday celebration was my husband’s 60th birthday with family & friends.
Such beautiful products and would love to be picked for prize
