Hello and happy Thursday friends! I love fall and one of my favourite autumn stories to document is Halloween. I loved the feminine colour scheme from the free printable Before We Go cards from the Scrapbook & Cards Today Fall 2021 issue and I decided to tell the story of my daughter’s Halloween experience up this year. Have a look:
Supplies: Before We Go Fall 2021 cards, American Crafts Sotheby’s Thickers, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L pop dots, Remington Noiseless font

I loved the combination of coral pink, orange and grey from the downloads and I decided to create a 6 x 8 inch double pocket page layout about my daughter’s scary costume. Yes, this is the year Rowan decided to dress up as a possessed doll—face makeup and all. As you can tell, we have moved on from silly costumes.
I used the 3 x 4 inch “love this autumn story” journaling card to talk about her excitement for dressing up and going out with friends trick or treating: a first for her. In terms of design, I printed out the 4 x 6 inch “love this story” card and cut the leaves and tab out. I then placed these elements in a visual triangle to create interest around the pocket page.
Pairing bold photos and well-designed pocket cards like those you can find in the Fall 2021 issue freebies, can be used to tell a Halloween or autumn story you are celebrating right now. Thanks for reading + looking! Happy downloading!
