I had SO much fun creating this layout!

Supplies | Scrapbook & Cards Today: printable; Scrapbook.com: white cardstock, tape runner adhesive; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: foam adhesive; Doodlebug Design: puffy heart stickers; Simple Stories: Retro Summer 6 x 8 paper pad, Retro Summer enamel dots, Bubblegum cardstock, Mint cardstock; Font: American Typewriter

I started this layout by printing the two pages on heavy white cardstock. I chose to fussy cut all of the images out. I know fussy cutting isn’t for everyone so you can use an electronic die cutting machine to cut out the images, too!

When I had all of my little bits cut out, I started playing with them to figure out what kind of a design I wanted. There were several pieces that went together to create cute vignettes. To accommodate a few different embellishment clusters, I decided to create a grid layout! Each of the segments in the grid are 4 x 3-inches. I chose a few patterned papers and cardstock from Simple Stories that coordinated with the printable.

Each section of the grid has either a photo or embellishment clusters. I printed two 4 x 3-inch photos of my nieces and their new shoes. I also printed my journaling on white printer paper to add to the top left section of the layout. I LOVE how these little bits worked together to create such a fun summer themed layout!

The finishing touch to this layout is the puffy heart stickers and the enamel dots. I sprinkled them throughout each of the embellishment clusters to add some texture and dimension.

I am so happy with how this layout came together. The printable was so much fun to play with and I still have a few more bits and pieces left that I can use on a future project. Now, hurry and print your printable so that you can play along, too! We cannot wait to see what you create!

Happy scrapbooking!
