Happy New Year! Hi friends, it’s Jess here and I am excited to show you how I am bringing my crafty new year’s goals to life this year. Crafty goals are a thing, right? Have a look:

Supplies: | Simple Stories Happy Hearts collection; Elles Studio Tiny Shapes and Dots puffy stickers; Ali Edwards number stickers; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; Remington Noiseless Font

Using the Simple Stories Happy Hearts collection, I created this double page, 6 x 8 inch layout using cardstock stickers and patterned paper to create a bright, bold list documenting five things I love in my life right now. In 2022, I am eager to incorporate more everyday details on my page as well as to include more pictures of myself in my scrapbooks.

I adored the “heart” cardstock sticker and decided to use it to create a title for my love list journaling. I wrote down my current favourites list by typing journaling in Photoshop Elements, leaving a 2” by 8” column in the centre to create space for bullet points. On this page, instead of bullet points, I decided to use number stickers from Ali Edwards and puffy hearts from Elle’s Studio instead.

I also loved the floral of the Simple Stories patterned paper, so I decided to print my journaling on vellum, allowing it to show through. I used left over turquoise labels for pops of colour and music note hearts to create a visual triangle around the page. I just love the soft, ethereal feel of this page.

Cardstock stickers can be used as a great jumping off point for your pages, whether they inspire the title or journaling. A quick and simple page, I hope this simple story idea inspires you to write your current favourites list right now, or to take more selfies this year. Thanks so much for reading! Happy 2022!
